    English Essay, Physical Journey

Well your "evidence" (in other words techniques) is very solid. You have a wide range of visual and language techniques and many quotes so in that retrospect there is no problem. :uhhuh: Try the avoid the 1st person pronoun in essays, the teachers know that it is your own personal response...

    Science Practical Portfolio

My computer can't upload Microsoft Works files as attachments unfortunately, but if you and the other members want to see my all my Practicals, just feel free to PM and I'll copy-paste it directly, but be warned it will be long. :D

    University

I don't think any school subjects are pre-requisites for university courses, just your UAI. I could be wrong though.

    Yr 11 performance

Many people in my school (Sydney Boys High School) excel in both English and Maths. The exact same thing can be said about Sydney Girls. English is the only compulsory subject in the HSC, if you fail English than you've completely botched your UAI regardless of how well you rank in your other...

Darn You're Lucky! I'd better go offline now and start practising and revising my speech. :)

    Your Top/worst Subject?

Well with the whole "Balancing Equations" and calculating molars and patterns of electrons in shells, formula for organic alkanes, ketones etc and measuring atomic weights determining percentage compositions etc. They involve numbers and analysis of data. But yeah the acutal mathematical...

    American dad vs Family guy

Family Guy > Dirt > American Dad. "Family Guy" was never a great series but it still makes me laugh sometimes. American Dad was a real hit and miss and was just a watered down version of "Family Guy" by the same creator. Still give me "The Simpsons" or "Futurama" any day of the week

    Your Top/worst Subject?

I originally wanted to do either Legal Studies or Business Studies but I wanted to focus more on the "Mathematical" subjects (Chemistry and Physics) :) And Biology is an really easy subject IMO. Plus I'd thought that Physics would help me with 3 unit Calculus and 4 unit Mechanics. But seeing...

    Yr 11 performance

50.5/64 in a non-assessed maths test. (It was mainly time based rather than a difficult test. Rank 4th in class) 19.5/20 for my "Prufrock" Collage and analysis (Tied first, not assessed) 'A- "for the "Decomposition of a Carbonate" Practical (My "A" streak has been broken!) First...

    Your Top/worst Subject?

I do consistantly in all my subjects, but I find Maths the easiest, just simply because it is easier to understand the formulae and concepts. My worst would be Physics probably because I'm not really interested in it.

    Extension English 1

Murder Rooms: The Dark Beginnings of Sherlock Holmes (or pretty much anything to do with Sherlock Holmes) Use of tension and suspense by vivid visual imagery or music creates a foreboding atmosphere... (something to that extent) Usually, the theme of Good vs Evil etc (It would have been...

Well, I got my lowest test result ever.

Always recheck your work and put as much relavent working out as possible. (Careless mistakes are the most annoying part of tests but if you show you know how to solve the question you'll still get some marks) There is always the Half Yearlies/Yearlies to improve so don't fret.

    The Anime Thread

Yu-Gi-Oh! DM cracks me up to no end (an anime based on a card game WTF) GX was just sad and 5D's is even sadder. They made an anime on Deltora Quest too (Actually pretty good if you're a fan of the books)

    How I Met Your Mother

Does anyone watch this show? I used to dislike it at first but it grew on me. The third season is airing 8:00 pm Thursday nights on seven.

    Neighbours

So Paul cheats again. Surprise. Surprise. If they were going to make him "bad" again why bother with the brain tumour? The Carmella, Marco and Oliver story seems good though.

    Goals???

It's a shame that they only count for effort, I always seem to do well in class tasks but not so well in assessment tests. I'll just have to wait and see with my upcoming English speech. Off Topic: Thomas do you know when our practical for magnesium oxide is due?

    Goals???

Well obviously I'm attempting to come first in all my subjects but realistically it is almost impossible. (Way too much competition) English Advanced and Extension 1: I am aiming to come in the top 10 (I came 7th last year) and hopefully be able to improve or maintain it in the yearlies...

What does this Leunig cartoon tell us about Identity?

It could represent that our identity is shaped by the choices we make. It could be linked to "Rhapsody on a Windy Night" in the sense that identity is shaped within the soul and this is linked because the cartoon shows that a personal identity is shaped within the paths you take within your...
