Your longest lec/tut hours without breaks ?

Some UNSW subjects have later classes for people for work. I had a 6-8 (tute) class coz the other times clashed.

@r1ckyla if you did ext 2 maths you'll be fine with engineering/first year physics.

Is it easy to get into UNSW overseas program that isn't included in the degree?

nope, you can apply to go on student exchange. Almost every degree can do it. The application process is long though, but worth it.

    Study tips for uni?

...well of course to everything theres exceptions. unless you're a genius, in general, its best to keep up with lectures and tute work.

    Study tips for uni?

yeah, i'd say 85 average is approx 99.00 give or take. but then again, for uni you're only doing one or a few subject areas. e.g. one person could be really good at chemistry for example, and maybe say they got 97 for the HSC in chem and get a 85+ average in uni, but only got a 95 ATAR, because...

    Study tips for uni?

i dont count that as cramming if you're half/more than half following lectures and you've read the tute answers i.e. know how to do questions... means you've pretty much kept up all semester and you're up to date. of course you study/consolidate harder closer to exams. cramming to me is you've...

    Study tips for uni?

go to lectures or if not have a good friend that does. some lecturers hint strongly what's going to be in exams in the lectures. other than that, if you can keep up with tute work and understand whats going on in lectures (sometimes helps to read/skim lecture notes beforehand). then i'd say...

Overloading for a subject outside one's program

I think it'll count for WAM. I'm pretty sure UNSW's WAM counts everything. It's pretty hard to tell if something's is part of someones degree, maybe not in your case, but say if i was doing a particular degree that has no electives, but 2 gen eds. and what would happen if I take 3 gen eds one...

    Prepping for B Arts

seems like you're going to UNSW, so knock yourself out :P basically you need to pick a major stream, and a minor stream, or you can do 2 major streams. http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/programs/2012/3403.html

    Prepping for B Arts

Just enjoy your holidays. There's not much you can and should do. Learning referencing, sure, but that shouldn't take much time anyway. I guess the one thing you can do, is to plan out what subjects you want to take for arts because there's quite a lot of choices especially for first year. If...

    in a BCOMM degree

i think they mostly do full time first year, then do 1 or 2 less each semester if they need and do summer.

MATH2301 - Mathematical Computing, yes or no?

lol. its a pretty easy course imo. I think its useful, exposes you to the computing side of maths which is pretty important. If you have space then definitely do it, if not, then up to u? and yeah apparently u need it for applied maths. It'll also help if you plan to do MATH3311/MATH5335...

what is overloading? does that mean I can do my B.comm in 2 years at ANU?

overloading is doing more than the usual load in a semester. e.g. most unis you do 4 subjects (of some unit of credit value). Overloading would be doing 5 subjects. just enjoy your 3 years of study... uni > work and not sure if u can do 3 to 2 years...even if you can overload each semester and...

    Shortening Degree Length?

its definitely possible. commerce/arts might be okay especially if all your subjects are 3 contact hours, then 5 subjects would only be 15 contact hours, so theres still plenty of time.

    Bachelor of Science (Advanced Mathematics)

doesn't really matter. usyd should be better for maths though.

US Exchange (which one to go?)

u pay normal fees at your home institution (so can be under HECS) The cut off depends on the people who apply at your home institution, and they take the students based on marks purely. And your uni is only allowed to nominate a specific amount of people each semester to a a particular overseas...
