if i a transfer after 1st year, do i continue to 2nd year

This is dependent on the university that your transferring to. What are your seeking is to be awarded credits for the study that you have done at UWS. It is at the discretion of the new institution to choose whether or not you deserve the credits for the units you have completed, and thus...

Haha! you never know man, IMO focus on UMAT first, then GAMSAT. I went from a poor 50%ile to a borderline 80%ile.. haha! so decent jump even though I was still the cut-off with my improved mark. In the end of you manage to get an interview - if you do well in that, you should gain entry. =)...

Post Your 2013 University Offers Here

Aww, sorry to heart that Riproot! Hold out for late round offers.. you never know. Apparently UWS is very conservative in terms of giving out offers in the main round. Still hope! Are you going to accept MedSci? And is it into the 2nd year (assuming you get credited for the units you've done...

    Transferring to Macquarie or UNSW.

Not really, just get a good GPA, e.g. 5.5+ and you should have a decent chance.

    Required for medicine

Medical interviews generally don't directly focus on your volunteer/work experience, however the question may come up.. I would definitely recommend undertaking some work experience in a hospital to get some clinical exposure. It will show initiative and will enable you to construct answers to...

    Transferring to UNSW Medicine?

Yes - they are both 3 yr degrees.. Apply for both undergrad unis (UMAT) and postgraduate unis (GAMSAT). You can apply for medicine with any degree - it doesn't have to be science.

    Transferring to UNSW Medicine?

I would think that quite clearly a better avenue for transfer into medicine would be a 3 yr science degree over a 5 yr psych/law degree. 1. Medicine is heavily science based 2. 3 year degree opens up postgraduate opportunities faster

    Transferring to UNSW Medicine?

You can't defer an offer and accept another, you either defer and take a GAP year or accept an offer and do the degree. You can, however accept the offer from UWS, wait for the Biotech one, if you get it - accept it and then disenrol from UWS.

    Transferring to UNSW Medicine?

HD average / 7.0GPA and a 97+&ile UMAT just to get an interview.

How hard is it to get into Grad Medicine at usyd from B medical science?

If Medicine is your desired course, you should try as many times as possible and to all the medical schools in Australia. E.g. You should ideally sit the UMAT in each of the years of your Medical Science degree and sit the GAMSAT twice during that period. You should apply to all medical...
