    Advanced Science or Medical Science

Cool. Sounds pretty useful for psych, especially the experimental/research component.

Please improve compatibility with Windows 95 / Internet Explorer 3.0

    1. You're trolling. That's not your computer, it's someone else's. 2. If you're not trolling, IE is the worst browser to use. Try another browser--I use Opera, and I know 10.63 is the last version that supports Win95. It's not that old a browser version--we're up to 11.10 now. I don't know...

Discount Coupons - Anti virus software

Why pay when you can get it free? Behold the triple A of free antivirus--Avast, AVG, and Avira. Personally I use Avira as it provides the most protection, but it can be heavy on the system. Combine with Spybot S&D and you're set.

    Advanced Science or Medical Science

As Aquawhite mentioned, Advanced Science gives you more choice, which is obviously important in terms of electives, but also means you're free to pick core subjects that you're strong at and hence maximise your GPA/WAM. Just on the topic of electives, from what I've heard, non-science interests...

    Parking.

Luckily I don't live on the 370 line, but the handful of times I've caught it there's always someone at the bus stop grumbling about how it's either late or never arrives. Either the line is full of annoying people, like that chick on your bus and the whingers I see, or the service is truly...

Dental Careers in New South Wales, how difficult is it?

I believe CSU Wagga have opened up a dent course? Re: USYD, I would proceed with caution. My friend does dent there and she says it's really, really disorganised, e.g. the first 2 years, they make them do all the med subjects on top of their dent subjects, so they're learning, and being...

    all nighters

I've stayed up till 3-4am a bit. Not many times, but enough. I've also done two all nighters ever. The first was not really an all nighter in terms of studying--I finished cramming at 4am but was so stressed I didn't sleep at all. Should've kept cramming more. Second was just this Wed night...

    Work Experience

Not sure if you've heard of the series Are You Being Served?, but if you have....when I read the word "menswear" I suddenly imagined Mr Humphries saying it the way only he can. But yeah, re: your question, they should have Xmas casuals? And you're advantaged because they know who you are already.

best LAPTOP size for UNIVERSITY! post your ideas!

I know I have access to BEES and one other building whose name I forgot, and BEES was fine till I walked in on a class and realised that it also doubles as a teaching computer lab. Besides lining up at FM Assist, is there any other way of finding out what labs you've got access to?

best LAPTOP size for UNIVERSITY! post your ideas!

Except at UNSW. That's my pet peeve next to the buses and the snail like pace at which everyone walks (ex-USYD student here).

Can I do My HSC in Pencil?

I don't think I got an actual pen license certificate. The teacher just told me I could start using pens instead. Did anyone else not get an actual certificate?

    Do you like it?

Half-Asian literally....I never saw so many Eurasians when I was at USYD. Definitely that's the hardest part of uni. That's what clubs and socs are for.

career options after a bachelor of med science

That's really interesting Tim. In your division, are there mainly med sci grads, or do you get other related majors like pharmacology, pharmacy, etc? What other divisions exist in your company? To OP (and Tim as well): I would caution against pharmacy. I've heard from some good friends that...

Muslims trying to drive hindus out of Auburn

^^Yeah I noticed that too. Apparently Lebs are considered the bad apples of the Arab world. I can believe that.

Should I Get My Ear Pierced (Guy)

^^Holy fuck what the hell is that monstrosity? Is that even real? Stretched piercings revolt me (no offence to anyone who's got one). A little one (like a grade or two up from a normal piercing) is ok, but any bigger and just....no. Especially when the earring's taken out and there's this gaping...

    I Failed Chemistry Exam :/

It's the first exam of your prelim year, which doesn't even count. If it were the last exam, I might have a hard think about whether I wanted to continue with the subject (assuming that the exam accurately reflected all the year's content and you'd been performing at a similar standard all...

Should I Get My Ear Pierced (Guy)

This is the 21st century. Humans have evolved to an androgynous state--guys wearing skinny jeans, makeup, piercings, doing "women's work" like nursing, teaching, househusbanding, while the girls are sporting masculine hairdos, wearing pants, being educated and having careers just as well as men...

    UNSW Bus

L94 is city-bound in the morning--doesn't go the other way. 39x you'd get a seat, but you're still stuck trawling through Surry Hills. I've checked the Sydney Buses website thoroughly and the fastest way is the 891/895 (even taking lining up into account). Is anyone thinking of taking that Green...
