I have had to move away from Space and am now focussing on Motors and Generators!

    Help with Projectile Motion

You can use the deltaY equation to solve for Uy (which I get as ~37m/s) You can then use this with the angle for find u (~41 m/s)

    HSC Physics Marathon 2016

Period = 24 hours. Thus using Keplers 3rd Law (r^3/T^2 = GM/4(Pi)^2) Solving for r we get r = 42,298km (this is radius of the earth + altitude) Rather than assume radius of Earth, wedetermine radius of the Earth, we use the formula for 'g' --> g=GM/r^2 (should derive this first)...

Physics Tutoring for HSC 2015 -- NEED BAND 6 STUDENTS!!! PROVEN RESULTS!!!

No more spots available in either Saturday class. Due to student movement, 1 spot has opened up on Tuesday's 6pm-8pm. We have completed the first and third section of Space (GPE and Universal Gravitation) and will be finishing off projectile motion this coming Tuesday.

    Section I: Multiple Choice

Re: HSC Physics - Exam Paper (download) According to the scientific method, it would not have been considered a scientific theory at that stage

Re: HSC Physics - Exam Paper (download) As soon as I saw this question, I thought of Q19 from HSC 2007 -- Only a theory once it has been tested and evidence supports it

Re: HSC Physics - Exam Paper (download) Forces would be different as force depends on mass. Surely the astronauts mass is not equal to the mass of the spacecraft! if they experienced the same force, they would experience significantly different accelerations. If that had said 'acceleration...

Worried about some motors and generators stuff

If there is no closed loop = no eddy current There will still be an EMF, just no eddy current, hence no braking force. #hscsez

    General thoughts: HSC chemistry 2015

A dimer is an oligomer, not a polymer. In a polymer, the number of monomers is not fixed.

    General thoughts: HSC chemistry 2015

This is the condensation polymerisation of 1,4 butanedioic acid and ethylene glycol. First step produces (B) which is ethylene glycol succinate (not a polymer), this then forms polyethylene glycol succinate (PES) which IS NOT (D), rather it is D without one of the 'O' atoms on either the LHS...

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive There are 3 options currently being weighed up by BoS. One of them involves the introduction of extension physics and chem. Still just talks though. Quite a bit of talk about the level of mathematics wanted in it, but I still don't see any calculus being added...
