Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

Even if it is a choice, why should it matter? You choose to be a Christian. I'm assuming, Iron? (Or even if you feel that it wasn't a choice and you were always going to be a Christian), you live in a society which allows you to practice your religion as you choose. Choice is an important part...

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

Ah. I remember that bit now that you mention it. Lol. Good movie. Well I don't know any gay Christians personally, but I know of some. I also know many people who consider themselves Christians and are okay with homosexuality. And you're right. They don't believe that the Bible contains all...

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

I actually agree with you. Just because someone states that they're homophobic doesn't automatically mean they're a horrible person, and to think that is to be just as narrow-minded as homophobes are accused of being. Did you not notice I was actually defending Spyro against Snow Fox's...

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

Do you really think the gay community is out to get Christians, Iron?

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

Also, just because homosexuals are a minority doesn't mean that people who think they should have rights are a minority or that the majority should be allowed to deny them rights.

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

That doesn't mean that gays go around and deliberately infect others.

You're right. Men's health - Better Health Channel.
  8. HumanDichotomy

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

I would argue that that would still be due to a sense of not being 'normal'. A lack of this can be very hard to deal with...For example, I have cerebral palsy and have always been accepted by the people around me, but I still have a hard time with it because it makes me different.
  9. HumanDichotomy

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

I like to try and be accepting. It makes things much more interesting. Also, I don't agree with that idea...'perception is reality'...what about if you say that perception is NOT reality and that's your perception...which gets us into a paradox. What about the Holocaust, or WW1 and 2? What about...

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

Refusing to accept something doesn't negate its existence.
  11. HumanDichotomy

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

It can and does learn. It just takes a very long time. I mean think about how big it is...but I agree with you, there are always groups in the minority etc. Sadly, I think it's a feature of human nature to dominate others. And why shouldn't it be? In terms of evolution, we need to be competitive...

Exactly. And everyone wonders why we're not getting anywhere as a society.
  13. HumanDichotomy

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

Of course it is. Anything that becomes polarized like this always does. It's the same with hardcore atheists. They accuse religious people of being intolerant whilst making all these assumptions about people who are religious.
  14. HumanDichotomy

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

Maybe they have. At least he doesn't think his views should impact on their rights, like so many others. Sometimes you gotta take the good with the bad.
  15. HumanDichotomy

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

Do you still think they should have rights, spyro?
  16. HumanDichotomy

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

Yeah. I thought that might be the case. That's why I just said 'interesting'...I realise that one can still disapprove/disagree with something without being a dickhead about it. Is it just because you're uncomfortable with it?
  17. HumanDichotomy

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

Ah no. Sorry. That was in reference to both you and I wanting to know whether Spyro was a homophobe.
