I think it was changed. we had a whole lecture on different types of approaches to solving a problem and that kind of stuff. then we went outside and got into groups based on stuff the lecturer just talked about. then finally we picked our own groups, so it was really easy to get with your friends.

ive heard that some higher courses have the exact same exams except that the normal course does, except that there are extra questions on the higher exam. so doing some higher courses gives you a shot at free marks dunno if there is any truth to it though, someone on here might know

true. if you are given a textbook for a class, often you wont use it all, there'd just be too much stuff in the textbook for that. also keep in mind that in some cases you wont even need a textbook as the university might provide you with their own notes. false. i find it very hard to believe...

yep, completely uni specific. UNSW's is all online (and you should have your timetable by o week/day regardless of university. otherwise, where are you gonna to go on your first day?)

Computer science is not really related to physics at all. that ELEC course is probably to help you understand what is going on in a computer at a more primitive level, but IMO its not at all vital to studies in computer science. maths is way more important

camps are meant to help you get to know people so they are usually held within the first few weeks of uni, that is after O-week.
