Has anyone ever heard any major stuff-ups on their PA? I remember a few years back, this dude in the deli always use to screw it up. One time, he kept stumbling over saying a word so after 2-3 attempts, he just stopped and SHOUTED it. Another time, instead of saying "come on over to the deli...

Haha, that's actually where I tried it when I got looked at like I was a retard. I usually only call little kids matey (not little girls though haha). I think its the fact that older people seem to prefer to be able to do it to younger people. Well, thats my belief anyways :) I usually just...

I said "Thank you for shopping with us" to one customer and she looked at me like I was the biggest retard she's ever laid eyes on. So now, it's just "Thank you, have a nice day" which still doesnt really sound right, but it's still polite and has it in there. Besides I was only told to say...

I did here something about that a few weeks ago. Didn't pay much notice though :) Anyway, different question: has anyone had a massive fail with their register? The biggest one for me was one time these people wanted a Dodo Internet Voucher. They paid with their card and all, and you know those...

Wow, we've never had to replace ours. Well, we did get more so I guess u could consider that a replacement, but haven't had that many stolen/broken/etc, thank god. We've been open a few years though and aren't extremely busy.

What happens with us is some smartass customers switch our trollies over with those from the competition so we have a few of theirs and they have a few of ours. Quite annoying... At one stage a few of our baskets were taken by a family of Asians who had moved here and they were using them to do...

For those who are service supervisors in larger, more urban stores... what do you have to do? For us in a smaller town, we are required to spot registers (obviously), do drinks, clean registers and mats, continually collect trollies and the shiz. Of course, the supervisor doesn't actualy do...

Holy yes! I was on that day, and for pretty much every product scanned, it minused off some "Masterfood Cooks" special. Some of them were way more than half-price of the product! I'm guessing staff with supervisor numbers would have just been able to go into the SVR menu and manually disection...

I haven't had to refuse ID yet, but i have a feeling the customer isn't going to be happy if i ever say no... not that i'll care :) i'm not putting my job on the...
