Yeah I love it how you do 3/4 of their shopping then they say "ohhh I have bags!". Like, my fucking god. Another thing that pisses me off, is when a customer who has 3 items manages to take up the WHOLE conveyor belt by spreading them out, you could have used 20cm of the belt if you put them...

Well as I said my friend is only the same age as me, and he's doing cert II at KFC, so I'm kinda hoping I can, hehe. I'll have to ask around.

Ah and also.. I accidently purchased coffee eclares instead of regular eclares (lollies). Can I refund/exchange/etc since I've opened and had one, or is there no way? I've not been taught any kind of refunds or exchanging yet so I'm not sure.

Yeah that's true, i think you have changed your mind :P - Only thing I'm worried about is, somebody looking at it and going "no 10 hour break O.O", then that shift gets taken off me for the fourth time this week. I'm a member of the union :P

Haha nice, well if you were paid this last year, perhaps they were giving you the 18 year old wage by accident all this time?

Yeah that sunday shift is over time (note the OT before 220), basically being paid at 220%. What's the part time wage located next to SAL as babikakez outlined earlier out of curiosity.

Yeah, check the EBA for public holiday rates, because some states are 2.7, some are 2.5. Here in Vic, we are paid 2.5 (but we have high casual rates to start with). Your wage sounds a little to high tbh, the Grade 2 wage for a 17 year old is 12.70 here in Vic, grade 5 even less ($11 something)...

$23 on Sundays? No way, can't be? That looks more like the 2.5x wage, you sure? For sunday, it should be: ppt x 1.7 x hrs worked

It was more of a quick decision from my 2IC about doing that shift, so now that I know it's not 10 hours, I feel bad because she's probably the one who will get in trouble if I say nothing, and she is nice I don't want her to get in trouble.

What I might do is do that hour (0730 to 0830) unpaid, so then just get paid from 0830 to 1500. I want to keep that shift so I'm willing to do that.

Snap. But it won't matter will it, as it is already double time and a half, will OT be applied OVER the top of that, or do penalty rates cap at 2.5x?
