    Fail Customers

Me: *scans item* Customer: No, hang on. That's wrong, the sign said "two for $10", so because I only have one, it should be $5, but it scanned as $7. Me: Oh no, it's only if you buy the two, that you get it at that price. Customer: I don't want it. Omglol

Ahh was this just today? Today was my first shift, and after signing off I looked at the screne and it just displayed the standard blank screen. In training and stuff it had screen savers, even on the operators monitor. Ha :P

Lmao indeed. I find it best to not prepare for interviews, because when the question comes up, you think "oh shit, did i have an answer planned for this one? what is it, what is it? shit shit". Just answer it as they come, don't plan. Think of a question to ask at the end, I find that always...

BTW I learnt a really handy tip tonight. Whilst not serving, hit "secure checkout", but leave it on "yes/no", as it stops the scans per minute rate, but doesn't lock the register. Just tap "No" when a customer comes up. Very handy! (Y)

That's extremely simple. You hit "Cash" or "EFT", in this case EFT. You select how much cashout they want. It will be listed as 'exact price' first. 'exact price + $10', and so on. You can also enter an amount to cash out of not on the screen ($45 for example)

So just say this is the case: Customer's total comes to $64.96. They want to pay $70 cash so they have a few dollars change?

Yeah, thanks mate. It makes sense when its layed out like that, but doesnt make much sense when you actually did it haha. Knowing me, i'd just hit the top exact payment price without even looking at what they are going giving me. Is that the same for Cash?

Ok so to summarise. It is illegal to sell alcohol to minors (obviously) - It is illegal or prohibited to sell alcohol when you suspect somebody is buying for a minor. It is illegal to sell tobacco to minors (obviously) - It is illegal or prohibited to sell tobacco when you suspect somebody...

I've got a question or two relating to smoke purchases. When asking for ID, what happens if the person if obviously using a family members id which looks half like them. Can you refuse to sell it to them even if they answer the correct 'questios' you ask them about the ID? Also. It's not...

+ Coles also pays the lowest wage for 15, 16 & 17 year olds, am I mistaken? Safeway just has the under 16's wage, so in that sense, 15 year olds are on 17 year old wage, but get paid more for it?

Ofcourse, but surely they would have to have some older staff on, because any "official" or union member that works in would be able to see it instantly (15/16) year old staff EVERYWHERE. BTW, I walked into coles a few days ago, and EVERY register had people over 21 on, and I was thinking...
