Thanks dude! I'll try my best at packing, because my mother is constantly leaving supermarkets having a whinge at how pathetically packed the bag is, hahaha. That's when you scan the card and get rid of the error message on the screen (if one comes up), right ? LOL

Haha well i'd only have this thread to thank. I'm sure i'd be able to operate a checkout with 0 training after reading everything here. I've picked up so many tips, like.. how to make sub totals (enter then cancel), and so on. BTW, I haven't actually started yet, will be starting next week. Any...

any one know Minimum wages for..?

Well you said "add 22.5%" :P BTW if you just put "8.37 x 122.5" it's much easier, as the 100 is basically the same as putting what you said (8.37 x 22.5%) + 8.37.

Ahhhh, I thought all the grades were different departments. Interesting :P BTW, isn't it <16, not 15 age? :\ So we'll have a new EBA or a new wage increase soon? Sounds good :P Cheers! BTW: I'm upset that i'll be working 24-7 (so to speak) (most likely) through Christmas holidays on grade 5...

Yeah the email says you get it on the first induction day. Do you have to get changed as soon as you get it, or do you just wear it for the next inductions from there on in?

I see how you got $10.02 p/h, but not sure how you found out the after-training wage, as it says nothing about it. How did you find the $10.54 p/h wage?

Is that why your username says "brookie". I did put the IE at the end of "brook" in my previous post? Poor reading skills for a private school student :) Anyway........ learn to not be a bitch to everyone who is trying to help you.

Lol as do I. I think the induction is dry - watchign videos - learning company policy - etc? The department specific inductions is where you learn about checkouts - or whatever your department is.

LMAO!! You are my hero Stallion <3. Seriously, brook'ie'. I suggest getting a real/another job (something like McDonalds/Coles) where you know what the pay is. You'll probably get much more experience and pay then you will in Reject. Thanks :)

Rofl. Actually, I wore casuals to my group and 1on1 interview. I didn't even wear black shoes (would you believe they broke on the day of the 1on1 interview?) Lmfao, still got the job with flying colours. Must have been my availability which made me irresistible. (H)

Better then 25-30, which is usually what it is. Surprised there was only 10 there :uhoh:. I don't think Deli is much different from other departments, think they still wear the same uniform? Good luck, and all the best :)

Is there any staff benefits towards Everyday Rewards/FF points? I'm guessing not.

I noticed everyone was wearing black jackets (wool?) at the checkouts last night. Is Safeway/Woolworths lenient when it comes to that, as long as they are black or something? EDIT: Oh and, is there any staff benefits towards Everyday Rewards/FF points?

Thanks mate. Just quickly: 1) Is this "EFT Chip" a new way the machines read the EFTPOS cards (via chip instead of magnet)? I'm guessing it is. 2) Can you use staff discount cards on self-serve? If you can, then you won't have those problems with giving family members your staff discount card...
