English -memorising techniques, adapting your essay into questions and different text type conventions (speeches and interviews), doing short answer past papers or whatever, creative writing > practice Maths -past papers I think you should be just reading over notes for most subjects...

There is no such thing as a 'better' subject in the HSC.. Just have passion and love for the subject and i can gurantee you will perform at a top level.

CAFS is very generic and basic knowledge.. However the subject should not be too underestimated.. But yes i agree with you that you can make some type of attempt (You could probably end up with 30-40% if you walked in the HSC with descent common knowledge) since you learn about things in Society...
