lol, how stupid
fwiw, if i could make 1 change to the education system i'd make it possible to fail the SC and HSC, so if you get Band 1s you don't actually get the certificate
there actually wasn't much war between aboriginal tribes
the populations never got high enough for a lot of land competition to occur
it's a shame, since war would have driven their search for technology on a bit further (though probably not a lot, since there's fuck all you can do in this...
pretty much
any euro country > aus... like even croatia or something > aus
australia is a cultural wasteland at the 'arse end of the world', as keating said
that doesn't rly bother me
but
i do get a certain satisfaction from when they're poking (for example) a $50 note in my face the whole time,
and the total comes to $51.20 or something
i'm thinking like "yeah, take that!"
It's the Rudd Doctrine:Bringing tokenism back
World warming? Sign an outdated document (continue to underfund science)
Abos dying & being raped? Say sorry (continue to let them die)
Obesity becoming moar prevalent? Ban skinny models (ignore underlying social causes)
People not having kids...
this is like the stupidest waste of money since the auto industry thing
there'd be almost no students without access to a computer in years 11 & 12 anyway
serious question for the "apologists"
if every indigenous australian was living in a town or city, working or going to school or uni and taking advantage of the way most australians live, would their culture be dead?
I don't have any problem with the gov "giving money to" the aborigines... maybe they need to spend even more than they're spending now. The issue is a bit of an international embarrassment and it'd be worthwhile to spend $$$ now to fix the problem.
But it doesn't make sense to demand city...
I'd suggest they're probably disadvantaged because they live in shithole communities in the middle of nowhere
so really paying them to keep living there is pretty stupid
