    General Thoughts - Biology

i realise i won't get any replies for a while, since the exam is scheduled to finish right about now, but... how did you go? was it easy, hard, unbearable? which questions were hardest? i finished about an hour early (and don't take this as a sign that i failed, i always finish early in bio...

    anyone else fkd?

hate to put salt on the wound, but you'd be competing with a remarkable... *drum roll* 8 people! lol. it's awesome that you're fluent. i don't consider myself fluent with italian, but it's still my favourite subject. anyway, i'm going to head off to bed so i won't be dead for study in the...

    anyone else fkd?

i wrote the same amount of pages for that module, only 8 for the other two... it scares me when people say they wrote like 2 booklets for a question lol. yeah, languages are awesome, not to mention that compared to other subjects there is hardly any competition (only 345 people do italian...

    anyone else fkd?

module A raped me. module B kind of did too, because i had only prepared quotes/techniques rather than a full essay... this resulted in 8 pages of rambling... for one of my subjects, though (italian), this year's was the easiest i've ever seen... i was actually expecting something more challenging.

    anyone else fkd?

i actually understand action potential, woot. haha it didn't stress me out though, as if they'd fail anyone just because they agreed with the statement. i was like that with english paper one, and my business exam. i've decided from now on not to think about my exams after they're finished...

    anyone else fkd?

lol yes... one in the english forum freaked me out by saying we had to agree with one of the statements, luckily by looking at other posts it was evident that she/he/it (or s/h/it) was a troll. but i'm pretty sure there are always trolls, especially in those NS and LR forums... a couple of my...

    anyone else fkd?

communication. it's not difficult, just so boring. i think i'll get it out of the way first... yeah, me too, i dedicated a couple of days in the holidays to bio (would have done more, but was working harder for business and english) and it just didn't stick :( 07'er... do i detect a troll here?

    anyone else fkd?

oh okay, i don't know it (not a Sydney person lol) yeah, it is really stupid. i think some people below me will do better than they did, some above me will do worse... damages the school's potential to get a band 6 student, IMO. i was utterly sick of bio by that time, so i didn't pay attention...

    anyone else fkd?

you must live somewhere pretty dangerous then, lol. at least you have an excuse. mine was just stupidity. well, it wasn't - i'd had an exam every single day of the timetable (thank god i dropped general, otherwise it would have been one almost every day), so i needed to relax. but now i wish i...

    anyone else fkd?

Jai: true. i'm just getting up early/earlier than usual to study... i would fall asleep in the exam if i stayed up all night lol. either that, or i would collapse while walking to school. Takuto: doing the exam on only 5 hours asleep? haha, you'd have to be an experienced crammer to do that...

    anyone else fkd?

how can you function with no sleep? teach me your sleep-deprived ways, i need at least 8 hours for normal functioning lol. less time to study :(

    anyone else fkd?

i was waiting for someone like this to come along. what took you? i'm going to get up early tomorrow to study. couldn't memorise all of my option, and i still need to go over the other topics, whoops.

    Curious: L's or P's-class of '08

i have my L's but have only driven like 3 hours. since i'm only 17 i got them a few months before HSC started, i didn't really make time for driving. wish i did though, half of my friends have their P's... but that means they can drive me :D i have a car though, my dad bought it for my...

i suck at my option. attempting to memorise it now. i'm pretty screwed for everything else too, it's in my mind but extremely vaguely. by the way guys, this thread won't last long. the mods keep deleting them. OMG ONE DAY BEFORE THE EXAM WE CAN'T HAVE THEM POSTING YET CAN WE!

Is our year smarter then the past?

at my school last year's students were way smarter than us. once you get out of the top 10 (well, for the subjects i do, minus english), the marks go really low. so don't worry, the people at my school will make up for yours by being on the other end of the scale.

    How competitive is year 12?

not very. my grade isn't that big, <150 people in it. my largest class has 33, the smallest has 4. it's only really competitive for the top 6 or so spots. apparently our year is weird because unlike usual there isn't a defined middle. there is a grouping of people at the top for every subject...

    General Thoughts: Italian Continuers

lol, nope. not even half of that. the majority is also female. ^ i'm guessing that's why it was in the feminine, Poad. also, 340 is a massive grade... well, by my school's standards :p we have < 150.

    General Thoughts: Italian Continuers

the school next door to us doesn't even have a continuers class. only 345 students in the entire state do italian continuers, so i think most schools would have relatively small classes.
