    Problems

It's possible, I was tweaking it.

    O'camp?

Yes! You'll be able to attend the same camp that first-year students attend. Make sure you find the Law Society stall during O-Week; they'll have details. If you hope to have any sort of a social life with law, I would strongly recommend attending!

    Personality test-Career choices

Incredible. I'm also an ENTP. I'm studying two of the listed career paths (law and computer science), and discarded another I was seriously considering (psychology) in favour of one of those. Truly me in a nutshell: http://www.personalitypage.com/ENTP_car.html This brief description...

Can someone explain the pie graph to me?

Honky tonk has it right - "it demonstrates how each course contributed to your UAI". The figure displayed next to each slice is the number of scaled marks which that course contributed to your scaled aggregate (i.e. your UAI), and those figures coincide with the ones listed in the "UAI...

Yes, but there will be long queues. Long.

    English Scaling

This has always been the case - people just haven't realised it. The two courses are scaled in exactly the same way.

    Problems

I can't replicate these errors - the correct percentiles are being displayed for me. Can you post a screenshot, please? The official name is the Student Assessment Modeller. The year was only added to the logo to indicate how current the program is - it has no other relevance.

What do you think of SAM?

It may be added later in the year. Yes and no. I have information relating to the processes used which is not publicly available; but the only additional statistical data I have can be derived from the published reports.

    Your Personal Feedback on SAM

The UAISeeker has features which SAM doesn't - such as the prediction of a future UAI, and (as jm pointed out) the ability to work backwards from a target UAI to your HSC marks.

    UAIseeker Vs SAMs Vs JUAIseek

That was true throughout 2003 - we are now attempting to make alternative arrangements for revenue, without charging students. However, it will mean that we have to foot the bill ourselves for a few months. I'm not entirely comfortable with the way the other reverse procedures have been...

    quick question

No, we didn't change anything like that. It might be the background colour used in the author/thread row that draws your attention (compared to the simple white space surrounding the actual thread title).

    Motherf***in' Scaling!

Both systems are as fair as each other - they each achieve their aim, which is to rank students based on their overall HSC achievement. They're just ranking students within different groups. In fact, TERs are still calculated as an interim process when determining UAIs, but you don't get to see...

What do you think of SAM?

Mmm... we noticed that during testing - haven't figured out how to fix it yet. :P

What do you think of SAM?

Fixed. It is actually meant to be that way; I'm now discovering that it isn't displaying quite as I thought it would for resolutions of 1024x768 and below.

03'ers.. how far off was SAM for your UAI

Only very limited statistics are actually published, so we can almost never have it exact unfortunately.

What do you think of SAM?

It is an evolving service. We will be improving on it throughout the year. What else did you want to customise?

    help plz

It's highly unlikely that you'll get either of those. 1) The cut-off for B Science at USYD is simply too high. 2) There are no vacancies for B Applied Science at UWS - you could only receive an offer here if someone else rejects their own Late Round offer. You should go through the list...
