    2010 HSC q10

first part is quite ambiguous, second part I would think about having magnets outside the space craft to attract both positive + negative charged particles and stop them from bombarding the space craft.

    Practising in HSC writing booklets?

Yes it helps A LOT! Personally, I gathered all my trial writing booklets (almost identical to HSC ones) and had heaps of free pages on the maths ones and english ones so used them to practice. Also, I had a few from deputy's office lol. It was certainly helpful for me considering my hand writing...

All depends on my ATAR lol (hopefully 95-97.5) UNSW looks more "updated" usyd reminds me of hogwarts so hmm. I haven't been to UNSW yet but been to usyd numerous times so might have some attachments there :P

    Physics marathon (hsc)

the source is wrong. I'm pretty sure cladding is less dense than the core. Is this for med physics? when something travels from less dense to more dense it bends towards the normal :/

    Detailed vs Brief notes

bio- 20 pages per topic, how is that text book size? (size 12 + diagrams etc) for Eco, most people I've spoken with - notes are well over 100 (same around 200 pages). Like others said, its what works best for you. If you can summarize everything into 5 pages. well done :)

    Detailed vs Brief notes

Thats a nice amount. I don't think you are supposed to remember everything lol. Just key points, unless you have a photographic memory or started studying from year 10. my bio notes were 80 pages, phy was like 60, eco was 120 (mainly just stats + recent shit)

I thought it became natural for me too until I started watching tv shows on the net after 3u finished and didn't touch a book for 5 days. Started studying for physics yday though. Holidays hmm, I will aim for a balance. Some people start studying for uni to "get ahead"? thats too much haha. If...

to be completely honest, I'm not certain yet what I want to do. Still contemplating. I think I'm more of a comm or law type person. (I can make you buy a $5 pen for $50 :P). But lately med seems kind of attractive, but obviously must work extremely hard in uni If i pick med science to get in (7...

don't you have to do bridging course for med science - requires chem doesn't it? chem course comes in handy at uni apparently so it would be wise to learn :) wait, so you finished your exams already? D:

hey, nope no chem :/ Are you feeling prepared? (is that your last exam?)

    Level of detail.

haha, i searched up that a while back :P Some crazy stuff. Yeah from what I hear hsc physics does NOTHING to help those studying physics in uni. I think they realize not everyone does maths (e.g. this kid does general maths and physics - struggles hard)

p-n junction is just a p type and n type joined together. This essentially forms solar cells. we know that n type has surplus of electrons while p type has holes (but they are both neutral since electrons = protons) When they are joined, electrons from n type migrate to p type and consequently...

    Detailed vs Brief notes

Depends on subject. I'm a fan of points that I use to initiate my thought process for certain topic/idea. For biology- notes were not too detailed and not too short. (lots of diagrams + my own drawings on hard copy since I'm a visual learner lol) phy- short eco- relative to state ranking...

    I hate....

binomials is the best topic in 3u what are you on about. I was hoping the last question would be some binomial proof :( I initially found it quite difficult because I didn't understand what I was doing, but once you get it, you should be able to prove any identity that pops up :)
