For unit clashes, I think you need to talk to your course co-ordinator. And then the subject co-ordinators for the subjects that clash.

No. Simply because you had been given ample time of notice about when your exams are. Of which you should tell your boss about your exams anyway. Once again, the boss told me to work is a pretty lame excuse :P

You can do another discipline (course) that the uni offers and then transfer into law after a semester or a year. If you want to do a combined law degree, but you don't make it, do the other degree, and you can gain exemptions from doing those subjects again, when you transfer.
