I can understand you guys thinking it's a little unfair for someone not considering UNSW to be nominated but can I make a few points:
1. When the school did the nomination the recipient may have been considering UNSW or may have had no idea what Uni they wanted to go to
2. AAA may be enough to...
I feel a little bad since I have been nominated by my school for the UNSW AAA (just received the certificate) but I have no intention of attending UNSW.
I would certainly like to obtain my raw marks but if it is going to cost well over $100 I think that is out of reach for me and my family. It is unfortunate, but I guess those of us in this position just have to accept that we won't be able to get ours.
My school doesn't award the Dux until the Presentation Day of the following year (eg. Dux of 2011 is announced in December 2012) so I presume it is based upon the ATAR. I guess I should probably ask somebody .......
I was nervous, but it didn't seem to be too bad. The questions were all fairly straightforward and what I had been expecting but I guess, as Heidi NR said, we'll find out in January.
As the above poster said, there really is no need to do so unless the new job will limit your availability to do shifts at the first place of employment.
