Nope. I thought it was hard AF. And so do a lot of the 3U/2U kids in my cohort - even the top 3U/2U kid who was ranked 5th and even smashed trials thought so. 4U kids found it relatively fine (but the top 3 4U students said it was a good paper for them).

LOL same! I got to do the binomials. But on the brighter side, despite them being low marks, at least you have +1 ~ 4 more marks than without doing the binomials! I would be extremely happy with a 45/70 :) In fact, a broader goal is a high E3 would be great! But anyways, we throw that aside...

    Mathematics Extension 1 Exam Thoughts

For that question, I did both of what you said - I even tried to prove it. I tried though! I actually did get to Q14 and just did the 1st page of it. Had to drop my pen at Q14C. For most questions, I had working out that tried to work towards the correct solution - but alas, still a lot of marks...

    Mathematics Extension 1 Exam Thoughts

At this point in time, a miracle and a high E3 is what I'm praying for. The paper whooped me harder than my parents ever did. Its good to hear that the 4U kids in my cohort found it relatively fine - but I'm like "50/70 (god damn too high for me now I think about it) and I would be proud, heck...

At this rate, if I get an E3, I will be extremely proud of myself - especially after that ass whooping from 3U. I would be lucky to even get 45/70

    Predictions?

Look. If they do unemployment, exchange rates (and/or with BoP) or protection, I'm hella ready. Still can't study macro/micro without losing focus every 30 seconds.

    Blank spaces in response booklets?

I was always taught to make it easy for the teachers to mark because 1) Apparently they are paid for each paper mark 2) They have bad days and shitty moods They'll probably feel tad annoyed when marking your paper IMO if you kept jumping around and did half a question here and there.

I'm tempted to just ride the coat tail of the 4U kids because they all smash 3U with 90%+ But alas, I must try my best.

If I remember, she goes to a pretty low ranking school. Even my school with a school rank of 70 still probably sees a lot of people with low ATARs. I share this perspective too. And I also believe that a lot of people have different expectations of themselves - its good to know people who...

Firstly, with that bolded point - the perspective that ATAR isn't everything at this current moment is to people who don't care as much and/or are okay with alternative pathways to get around to things. So in my opinion, its okay to actually see the ATAR as your current everything - otherwise...

    2 unit paper

HAHAHAH YOU'RE THE EXACT REPLICA OF ME, OMG, I LOVE IT I marked harshly (as in, when I seriously seriously don't remember what I wrote and super super unsure or I didn't get the answer, I just took all the marks away for that part) and looked around the low 80s as well. Hopefully I...

    2 unit paper

Yeah, I'm hovering in the 80s. Definitely not the high 80s IMO. Fuck it, going to pray for a pretty solid Band 5 in Maths.

    2 unit paper

Sigh yeah. I slowly read the question over and over and finally got what it means. I definitely won't get the mark for the correct answer so hopefully I get 2/3 for my solution - because I actually got 10.somethingsomething and sat there just thinking which one to even pick because the question...

    2 unit paper

Awesome :D! Does anyone know the solution to Q16 b) iv? Probably the most conflicting one in my cohort. And I'm a little unsure with the wording of Q15 b) ii but I just left my answer as n = 10 because n = 11 is like 0.76 - Have a bad feeling its n = 11. But hopefully I get some marks for my...

I got h = y/x? There's solutions up on some other forums - I fucked up and didn't think about that integral MC. I also forgot what I wrote for Q11 e) and I'm stressing out because I should've double checked it and now I don't know what I actually wrote. Wasn't the period of the tan 3/x = pi/3?

    Band 6 cutoff?

The paper wasn't that bad in comparison to what I've done (obviously I would have made mistakes here and there due to clumsiness & actually having no idea), especially Q 15/16. I have done past papers that tore me a gaping asshole with its Q16 (and/or 15). I don't feel good about what might make...

Ranking of best universities for B.Comm.

Despite by huge bias towards UNSW everything, I know that I have been asked why I'm not attending Macquarie Law or try to get into their actuarial course, not only because its a 20 minutes bus for me as opposed to nearly 1 and a half hours to UNSW, is because it does have that reputation for...

I actually remember doing that question, and I believe the question said what was the max rows he can make? Wasn't the answer 13 or something (had to round it down from memory).
