You mean every single RPG ever made. :) -Fallout 3 -Oblivion -WoW -Final Fantasy Also, Super Smash Brothers series is overrated. Only worth it if you are into the original games. Myself, I'm a playstation boy.

    Romanticism - Intellectual Values?

Intellectual values = view of the world = philosophy So, Romantic philosophies... Well, gee... I got this list here. Hope it helps. - Man/God/Nature trinity, Natural Supernaturalism, essence of God in nature, a God for each individual - emotions as a form of transcendental meaning - low art...

    Romanticism Imaginative Response??

Don't set it in a haunted house. Don't set it in a forest. And then you'll be right. Basically, with the creative writing task for this topic, it's going to be easy for you to fall into cliches. Be original in setting, characters, plot, but don't be too subtle with the Romantic elements in...

    World Towel day

    We count in base-10, cause we have 10 fingers. Base-10 means 10 numbers, 0-9. If human beings had 13 fingers, we would be counting with 13 numbers. A well known base-x that's not base-10 is base-2, which is the Binary Number system. 0, 1, 10, 11, 100, 101, 110, 111, ... I don't know how...

    World Towel day

i told my teacher that there was something inherently wrong with the universe, that six times nine is forty-two. I kept this up for a while. Then I told him it was in base-13, but he was like, "it's not base-10, you stupid boy." Either way, it pisses my maths teacher off - Douglas Adams...

Why are NRL players such terrible human beings?

Yes, you're right, not only in highlighting that the players are aware, but also of the flaw in the current situation. "Some of them still don't care." Well, shouldn't this be fixed?

    World Towel day

Yeah, I'm heaps looking forwards to it. Carry a towel on a my shoulder for a whole day at school. woohoo Should be fun. Although, I really ought to stop my fascination with the whole 6x9=42 thing. Pisses off my maths teacher. :)

Why are NRL players such terrible human beings?

One of the problems with the rugby players is that they get too much money for what little amount of time they spend on the field. Then, they use this money to get pissed, have fun, indulge, etc. without consideration for the possible consequences, eg. media attention. Possible adjustments can...

    ETA Study Day 17/5/2009

It was alright. I went to the Romanticism lectures. I didn't learn much but I really enjoyed the different perspective that the lecturer had on the topic, and her insight into the creative writing part, which my EEX1 teacher hadn't touched on at all in terms of the upcoming HSC exam.

    Study music?

Re: Do you listen to music when you study? At the moment, I'm just listening to this genre called 'psychedelic ambiance' which I think provides the most comfortable atmosphere for studying. It doesn't have lyrics or hooks, so it's great for background sound so that I don't get bored or...

    Romanticism and Coleridge Related Texts

I recommend Hans Christen Anderson. (Danish) You know the stories (little mermaid, ugly duckling, etc) and if you know enough about the Romantic Period, you can connect those texts to the way of thinking. For example, the concept of the beautiful soul within the ugly body is a Romantic...

    Wordsworth

I'm doing the Preface as well, but I haven't started deconstruction. Hmmm All I know so far, in terms of Wordsworth's writing, is that he likes to repeat himself - as to not let to think about anything other than what he is trying to tell you. He doesn't want you off on a tangent, he wants to...
