Hey guys! I have another question!
Basically, I'm wanting to know what would be better,
1. Pick and arrange our LECTURE times first and then set our TUTORIAL times around our lectures.....OR
2. Pick and arrange our TUTORIAL times first and then set our LECTURE times around our lectures...
Basically my question is the title.
I'm just wanting to know (generally), is it best to decide on our:
1. LECTURE times first and then arrange our TUTORIAL times around our lectures....OR
2. our TUTORIAL times first and then arrange our LECTURE times around our tutorials.
Basically, which has...
As a first year, I don't really know 100% but I would 'assume' so. Generally most timetables and subject selections work on a demand and supply basis. But please correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not entirely sure. I say this because I've seen in some part of Macquarie uni's site that they...
Hey guys,
I'm currently trying to make my timetable and have been looking at my preferred units and their times.
There is a column that says 'teaching staff' alongside certain times. However, as I have been looking through, some boxes don't have a teacher's name inside the 'teaching staff'...
Hey can I just ask... (out of curiousity...and yes I finished hsc --")
I've heard that Standard scales similar to Advanced. it's just the aligning is very far. So that means a person who received a high band 5 in Standard may be equivalent to a low band 6 in Advanced...
So in the end, scaling...
Hey! good job! Especially your Mathematics mark!
I actually did Mathematics in 2010 as an accelerant, and I did the rest of my HSC subjects last year in 2011.
But If I recall, the raw mark for a band 6 in 2010 was 93/120. So in 2011, it had a worse aligning considering that 99/120 was aligned...
Hey Guys,
Just wanting to know, when we choose a 'tutorial' for a unit, do we HAVE to make it after our 'lecture'?
I've heard you don't HAVE to, but it's good to so that you can ask questions etc AFTER the lecture.
Answer please, thanks!
(btw first year here again lol)

I already accepted my offer, already got my HECS application accepted.
I want to make my timetable through 'My Enrolment' tab on e-student but there is no option to 'enrol...

Yeah I'm leaning towards Accounting as my major. However, I know finance is good too! But Economics was my lowest subject in the HSC and I heard finance is linked strongly with Economics? --"
How is accounting like? Does it involve simple mathematics? If so I'm ok with that. I never ever...
Oh yes I seen that page! I've actually already finished step 1. Then step 2 came and started asking me about majors and such which lead me to think "hey, I don't even know what major I'm choosing let alone my timetable for all my subjects" LOL and now I'm here haha
hey I'm back!...lol
Um just wondering If I choose a Finance major in my commerce degree, will I be able to change my major in my 2nd year if I wish to do so?
considering major study generally begins during 2nd year (and that I'm doing a combined degree with law)
Cool! Thanks alot mate! I wouldn't have known all of this so quickly without you and -may-cat- as well :D
I just have one last question, somewhat irrelevant question. Do you work here?
OHHH ok its all finally coming together for me! :D I get it. So those are the only core Commerce subjects in first year? and your specialisation is your major which most people start doing during 2nd year?
