Using MX2 skills in Physics exam?

Real analysis is just very rigorous from what I’ve heard, everyone doing maths at uni seems to prefer complex analysis

    Using 4U techniques in 3U

I understand but I’m saying in the context where the sample answers find an expression of say dV/dr and then dr/dt before stating the chain rule and proceeding to find dV/dt. My question is, can I just go straight to dV/dt without having to mention all this?

    Good Textbooks for MX1

As previous posters have said, Maths in Focus DO NOT rely on it for exercises, it is very weak in offering HSC style questions (mostly plug and chug), their explanations however are good except for the occasional issues. For the old syllabus, I found Cambridge amazing and very intellectually...

    ATAR Estimate

I believe in you, just put a lot of effort in right now and you can achieve. Just know, you can do a LOT of things with a TAFE diploma and even transfer into uni programs. Also, you might be a hands on learner or tertiary education might not be your thing, you might want to venture on your own...

    Using 4U techniques in 3U

Yes I agree but isn’t it more convenient to implicitly differentiate an identity without having to explicitly state the chain rule?

You’re choosing which parent to place down however. In your case you already assigned which parent is seated first; in reality there’s 2 ways they can be assigned

    Mathematics Extension 1 Exam Predictions/Thoughts

Think of it this way: we can seat the teachers together in 3! ways and then seat the parents next to the parents in 2! ways. Then we finally seat the students in 4! ways. That’s 4! x 2! x 3! ways which is 288

    Mathematics Extension 1 Exam Predictions/Thoughts

That’s right, but you have 2 sides facing each other Separated by a buffer, you can switch those two sides 2! ways

    Mathematics Extension 1 Exam Predictions/Thoughts

Yeah I know, I addressed it in a previous post; yes, the answer is 2/a, I rushed the paper’s solutions however and made a silly. There should still be a 2/a answer on the MCQ however unless I messed up.

    Mathematics Extension 1 Exam Predictions/Thoughts

I felt like it. Jk, the style they were going recent years with q14 seemed kinda 4u like, so I kinda “accentuated” that effect. 😂😱

    Mathematics Extension 1 Exam Predictions/Thoughts

well, projectile hasn't been a final question in a long time and geometry seems to be their thing right now. They also like combinatorics in question 14. Induction - that’s obvious, but yeah. The rest of the paper is fairly stock standard, I did make some bits of it a bit more difficult than a...
