Well you still have to do the key swap thing (taking the cash office and smokeshop keys to the keybox and then the service keys with the keys for the keybox back to the safe - if that makes ANY sense), so two people need to take that trip ;) EDIT - that probably only applies to our store...

yeah but we don't open until 8, so 7 is more than enough time to do everything. Friday morning open is technically 6.30, because they assume I've left the place gross from thursday night. So I have to ring whoever is opening at around 8.30 thursday night to let them know how things are going.

Except it pretty much does work out at work 45 hours, paid for 40. I don't know many department managers who do 8 hour days only. ie - front end at my store. Week 1 Mon - 7-5 Tues - 7-4.30 Wed - 7-5 Thurs 7-5 Fri 7-5 Sat 7-5.30 Total - 9+8.5+9+9+9+9.5 = 54 Week 2 Tues...

Depends on the store/CSM/state (with regards to tobacco laws etc). I've worked with a 15 year old supervisor. She was mighty mighty good. I started when I was 16. Also, dilemma in my store today - someone steals a knife, do you chase/confront? According to our (female) grocery manager you...

I go to Murdoch in Perth. Its not Go8 or anything, but it was the only uni bar Notre Dame that would let me combine my weird combination of degrees (I am the only person in the uni that studies that combination, how special am I?) I still have no idea what got me interested in HRM in the...
