We had regional managers come in on Thursday too. I got in trouble from one of them because there was one person serving smokeshop and four people in the line. Quite a condescending lesson in division from one of them. I don't think 15 is too young. Best supervisor I have ever worked with...

Re: Woolworths FAQ- how to get a job If I come to work next week and have a multitude of customers comment on my teeth, I will go insane.:chainsaw: I had a, well, interesting night, but seriously cbf explaining it all. Far too tired.

best close ever tonight. i think its the first time ever i've ever got out EARLY when closing by myself. AND I got the safe open first time both times I went upstairs :) Funniest story though, sometime around 4pm my CSM was on the phone to someone for AGES, she looked up and you could tell...

I have done the bold. Add 10 calls to centre management and a conversation with the Kmart manager as to decide whether to evacuate or not. Except my photos were of the emergency personnel who came out ;) But the best, by far, was a separate occassion where I got sent to Centre Management...

I agree, such a sign would make things heaps easier. The only reason why I'm confident with them is because I was involved in a pretty serious evacuation a few years ago and had to play a pretty big role in that. Also, like I've said, our alarms go off all the time so I've had to mentally...

There is not one at ours either. For us, we've just been told to keep the customers updated, step by step. ie - First alarms, let them know we are investigating the situation and have contacted centre management, but would like them to be on standby for an evacuation. Once we know we have to...

Haha thanks Brooke :) I'm not angry ALL the time, I promise. I'm going to see the doctors again today, from what they told me over the phone I won't even need time off work at all, they just told me that I couldn't drive home. But I can't see how thats going to work out? :uhoh: Maybe I'm...

He knows there is an issue, don't get me wrong. Unfortunately his advice of "wait for July" isn't helping day to day. Also the fact that although he portrays this whole tough italian mafia kid image, he doesn't do anything about anything. All he does is feed the conflict just for his own...

She makes everyone upset every day, I'm just the idiot who can't help but show it so she gets her little power trip. Its allright, seriously. I'm going to check up on rosters tomorrow night (drafts or costings at least should be available). Just, you know, I thought that being able to talk...

DM and supervisor must close main doors, and then leave through the staff exit (unless the back dock is 'on fire' (or so they think) - which has happened before :S) At least thats how it was the last few times I've done them (which you knew seeing as we were only just talking about this the...

lol, our centre got evacuated tonight, and they managed to get all the way into the evacuation point before the NF captain (doubling as DM) and supervisor realised that the other one had forgotten to close the doors. i'm jealous, I am an absolute pro at evacuations.

Oh I am. I'm going to see what happens with the rosters for next week, because she said she'd 'try' and fit me in (or out, you know what I mean), but I'm at least going to speak to our SSM first, because he's asked that ANY incidents of her crap-managerness go to him, before they blow up into a...

Yeah its not even a big deal if I don't get it. I can live without the $48 or whatever I get from that shift - I was more amazed that my CSM had a massive issue with it, considering she hadn't even done rosters yet.

I was under the impression that I accrued sick leave for EVERY shift I worked (even the one's I'm not contracted for), but could not TAKE sick leave for additional shifts. Its still a pretty crap deal though.

Okay, I just had the most whacked phone conversation with my CSM regarding sick leave, so I thought you guys might know better. So last year I had massive surgery on my jaw, the store knew about it, I needed like 2 months off etc. It was a drama then, so I knew my CSM would remember. Anyway...

Firstly, the idea of someone loving tickets disgusts me. I admit I miss tickets, but thats more because Saturday afternoons on checkouts is proving to be TORTURE. Especially when my CSM regularly sends people home for pathetic reasons, so we end up super short. STAR = Situation, Task...
