Hrm. Checking operating hours for SA Woolworths on their website at the moment. All the SA stores I checked (in and around the city) close at 9pm weekdays and 5pm weekends. Marden, Unley and Cumberland Park open at 6am weekdays and Saturdays, and 11am on Sundays. However, others opened at 7am...

Mon-Sat, what time are you open to? We're open: Mon-Fri: 6am-9pm Sat: 6am-5pm Sun: 11am-5pm Generally do between 180-200k on a Saturday; most departments do about 25% of weekly sales on Saturday, but for some reason you rarely see department managers that day, and often the 2IC's are missing...

Indeed. One fifteen year old at our store works a 9 hour day on Saturday and then another 8 on Sunday, so I don't think this is correct.

Heh. What's the base adult rate for a Grade 2? Maybe I'm just calculating it wrong. (I can't access the NSW EBA, but only the SA one.)

@KaaN10: I'm basing my figures below off the South Australian award, because that's my one. Don't know what your one is, but I'm going to suggest it would be pretty similar. At the moment you're earning 9.69 per hour on the SA award (Grade 1 [probation and trolleys] = 614.25/week, divide by 38...

I'll point to the fact that it is now 10 minutes past midnight as my excuse for getting PPT and casual mixed up in my last post :)

I might be wrong, but additionally, don't casuals PPT (thanks for the correction, Townie) have to get 10 hours a week of paid work, or else you'll be paid for 10 anyways? Or have I pulled that one out from somewhere?

1.) Automatic. 2.) They're at your 4th, 7th and 11th week. At these dates, your manager is meant to sit down with you and give you feedback/allow you to make comments/etc., but historically I've found it rarely happens. The 11th week date is when your probation finishes.
