That isn't necesarrily true. Lower ranked schools certainly do not always have easier assessments.
At this stage (although too early to tell), with your current position in school, if you keep it up and remain ranked first till the end of all the assessments, your target UAI is quite easily...
In his situation he already is doing 10 units, so he'd need to perform well in all subjects since they all count.
You are best focusing on Mathematics extension 2 and your English.
I guess helping them during assessments still may be alright as long as you yourself perform well. Because even if you have a poor rank but good mark, and perform well in the HSC, there is no reason why you still can't get your desired UAI.
When you are ranked first you are basically given total immunity to scaling. It is always that you receive the highest HSC examination mark as your moderated assessment mark.
These things are pretty hard to be accurate with.
In certain cases being ranked first in a low acedemic school is better, and sometimes being ranked average in a top school is better.
But the bottomline is that the school has no effect of scaling. The Board of Studies doesn't take account...
If you are a gamer like me you would use nail polish remover.
Once a week pour some in a tissue and wipe down the feet of the mouse. It should make some noticeable difference.
Or you can eliminate the problem of build up's by purchasing mouse skates which are what gamers use.
Meaning after your assessments are finished, the HSC is basically a -team effort-
i.e. Your classmates doing well is beneficial to you and everyone else.
Refer to this thread if you want to understand a little bit more about the moderation process.
