I'm not sure if my store could have a detatched service desk/smokeshop at all though, just because of the way we are positioned within the centre. There is nowhere really to put the service desk against (the only stores where I have seen this have their smokeshop/service desk attached to a wall...

Woohoo to new workstations! We're only getting one, but its at the desk I use in cash office. I'm so excited, because before it was taking me half as long to enter the tills as it was to count them. And copeys, every week when I was in c/o using that old workstation I mentioned how cheaply...

I wouldn't say any special training is needed, particularly if you are already 2IC. I know that our current 2IC was previously a night duty manager at a 24hr store, and she considered her 2IC role as a promotion. Alarm Numbers are not hard. They'll just add you to the authorised user...

In response to your rep comment, I did similar subjects to the OP and got 90+. Even if you do high scaling subjects they are not going to hand you 90 on a platter. So I did read what was said.

We have six express lanes, and if we ever got self serve, they'd have to get rid of part of our trolley bay and two express lanes (I think). But our refit is a long while away. They do this with our backup smokeshop girl on Saturdays. She gets: 10-11.30: operator 11.30-12.30: smokeshop...

Staggered express is awesome and I will be devastated if/when we lose it in a refit.

I have no issue with this. The issue that I have is that while she's got all this theoretical knowledge about every department under the sun, it doesn't help her as a supervisor. Perhaps I'm just a little bitter because she stole my shifts. Honestly though, I'm so over service at the moment...

tbh, my store is pretty good with the casual/ppt supervisors. it helps that there is one girl who has been supervising a lot longer than the rest of us, and even the operators know that she's in charge, not us. Our only problem arises with the girl that is supposed to be becoming our 3IC...

The only person in my store who ever gets SUPER-IC is our CSM, so in my opinion its not too big of a deal. However, we all know how the chain goes. Well we used to until we got a new 3IC :chainsaw:. That just fucked us right up.

Oh, no one told me about the incharge book either! Its just something I knew existed from many years ago's worth of supervisors mentioning it, and then I was in cash office when our 3IC was claiming with it. So the next week I was in cash office I worked out where it was kept, and since then...

my school gave everyone one, though some people's solely consisted of "johnny attended this school from year 7 to year 12 and we wish him the best of luck in the future". :|
