It's possible, remember you still have almost 75% of your HSC left (your final exams are 50% - can make or break). Knuckle down and start grinding - you'd be surprised how much you can change! Good luck buddy.

As mentioned, you don't really have a case. Take it to a lecturer and see your tutor again out of hours and try explaining to them why you feel youv'e been screwed over. If it's just 'I think this deserves better' then you can't do anything about it.

Too high given he's only first in one subject in a ~600 school. Mid 80's I'd say.

I did no more than 940 for each essay. You need time to answer and think about the question. It's tragic how many students kill themselves over 1100 essays and completely ignore the question.

Drop the TAFE course (unless you HATE eco), as eco scales far better.

Agreed for the most part. Lecturers have a consultation hour, that I've used in the past and found v. helpful. Also, I'm sure you can take the tutor aside when they're free and solidify some concepts if needed. Heck, you could go to multiple tutes a week. That's what uni is so awesome for -...

Didn't really waste time with notes for my HSC, there were already so much out there. I used the saved time to write exam responses and had them checked against marking criteria. If I had to choose, I'd pick writing notes over typing them =]

Biology is a beautiful subject, but it's terrible in the HSC. The real content is watered down and it scales horribly.

That's not correct. You can't slack off because you still get your own EXAM MARK. But yes, your SCHOOL MARK would be in safe, safe hands because it'll just be the top EXAM mark in your cohort.

12 units really should be the maximum. Drop either bio or pdhpe, they both scale badly. Good luck!

Your cohort will not affect you for a subject you come first in. However you cohort will come into play if you come second - this means you get the second best exam mark in your cohort as your school mark. Hopefully that allows you to see how important ranks are!

Since you're almost first in everything, it's nearly impossible to estimate, because your school's rank becomes irrelevant. You could potentially be the student with the highest aggregate in the state for all we know! Good luck =]

Very valid points. I guess it all comes down to whether you're after fulfilment or an ATAR. It depends on the person, I guess!

Your HSC should only be about your ATAR, once you hit uni you'll realise how little 'learning' there is in high school. They covered ALL of my HSC in the first two weeks of my science degree. I'm not even kidding. Focus on your ATAR in school, focus on learning during uni.
