hey guys, quick question. my brother is starting at kfc on friday, he was just wanting to know what the first few shifts involves. also, full uniform is provided yeh - even pants. thanks heaps.

This is what we have too. Generally four hours for phase three, three will be training with dept manager, and last hour is a buddy shift, some go on express straight away, others will wait a while.

I would start from scratch. I've had newbies with me in phase 2, but they've just been watching their buddy, not actually doing anything. And this section of phase 2 is only 20 minutes, half hour tops.

Like they've cut a lot of hours or there's soo many people on. Last year we had so many people on that I didn't have a register after 1pm. :D Have work in two hours. Closing on my own probably, so 22 tills to count. Since I'm now 18 and can sign on I have to count liquor tills as well :cry:

We had two, over the last two weekends. Rivercruise for the over 18s and paintballing for anyone who wanted to go. Didn't do either - hate paintballing and originally I wasn't going to be 18 for the rivercruise (changed the date). Actually I've never been to an xmas function with woolies...

If I'm understanding it correctly, you're doing three subjects prelim and hsc in one year, correct. So the idea of that is that if you want a full HSC, you need to do it over two years. So three subjects (prelim and hsc) over two years gives you 12 units = hsc. You wouldn't receive the hsc...

You'll be fine, I promise. They factor these changes in, and if they don't have enough people for a particular shift, they will hire new people. For instance, my store did not have enough people on Tuesdays, so we hired new people who HAD to be available tuesday afternoons.

Or grandfather. Seriously though, we have a guy who comes in about 3-4 times a day and will only be served by particular operators - as in, he lines up at express, if someone else calls him he lets the next person go in front. Thankfully I am not one of those operators :D

Or, don't ring me and tell me that you've changed the rosters with six hours notice before a new shift - and don't ask me to cancel my exam so I can come to work. :evilfire:

We're doing this at our store. I mean, whoever is in charge is sometimes serving, but very rarely. A few weeks ago I was the only supervisor on, we had massive lines and my SSM was basically yelling at me FOR SERVING. So from then on, if I am in charge, I do not serve. I guess my role is...

Doing 11-10 on thursday, supervising on my own from 4. it might just kill me, the last time i did a shift of comparable length i was at least able to hide in smokeshop. no particular reason, just coz. partially funded by my mother for my birthday :D I will be sure to visit a few safeway...
