If you can get hold of a couple of textbooks then of couse it would be better. But either way you should make sure when you do write the syllabus dot points that you actually understand what you write rather than coping wrod for word from the textbook.

Well both courses are different, so you'd have to decide which you'd rather take as a career. Though a 1.5 hour ride to University everyday can become a tad tedious.

Don't fret, almost everyone who wants to attain a decent UAI will have that problem of self-discipline. I mean sitting down and pulling out the pen to study is a lot easier said than done. I'm pretty sure you can't expect to suddenly gain this self-discipline, you are going to have to...
