    USYD vs UNSW

Eastern Avenue is nice. Wallace is okay. Stephen Roberts was acceptable, although they scrapped it to make way for the new law building. That should be pleasant, if they finish it sometime this century.

    LAW at ANU or UNSW??

They're both good law schools. When it comes to reputation everything is relative. Of course, since someone mentioned our law building I am obliged to provide a picture: http://img50.imageshack.us/img50/1091/unswlaw01zv5.jpg

    How did you get in?

Congratulations on your UAI. However, I'm not sure what you mean - the UNSW DFEE cut-off for 2007 is 94.20 - you can't get in with 91.20

New law model at Melbourne Uni

Re: new law model at melb uni Possibly the UAI for Monash will jump. However the new model for Melbourne University is designed to be like the United States model. It is a harder system with a focus on law being a "higher learning" degree. It could very well mean that graduates of the new...

    How did you get in?

There is a section in the Law Guide on this. If you have a UAI of ~97 and you work hard during first year you stand a good chance of transferring. Alternatively, you could use full-fee paying (DFEE). But to answer your question, no, you cannot repay it later like CSP. You must pay it...

    Defer

No. Apart from being totally unfair for other students, you cannot actually opt to defer a course until you have accepted it. It is not possible for you to make your choice in one year's time. You must choose now, then defer through the appropriate channels at your chosen university.

The Difference between CSP and DFEE

No, you must pay DFEE upfront on a per-semester basis. The exception is if you take out a loan from the Commonwealth government. This is called "FEE-HELP" and it is limited to a total of $80,000. It also has a 20% interest fee attached. See here for more details.

    USYD vs UNSW

Many of the old USyd buildings are beautiful on the outside, but old and worn on the inside, where you actually have your classes.

Law at UQ - any good?

I understand what you're saying and it makes sense in terms of the value of the degree programs between the jurisdictions. But I'm referring to the attractiveness of the law degrees for practice in NSW in terms of recognition or reputation. I think that assumption is the root of the...

Law at UQ - any good?

Re: Law at UQ? I believe UQ is a fairly respectable university. Of course, if you want to practice law in NSW, then a law degree from USyd or UNSW would be more highly regarded.
