Did you choose the High School you now attend or did your Parents force it on you?

Re: Did you choose the High School you now attend or did your Parents force it on you Please don't mention THAT name.

Did you choose the High School you now attend or did your Parents force it on you?

Re: Did you choose the High School you now attend or did your Parents force it on you I had to choose between Loreto, Monte, NSGHS and Newtown Performing Arts. I got into both of the latter 2 (I got into Newtown for singing) but my parents didn't want me to go because I got bullied heaps in PS...

    Post your CSSA MARKS HERE!

280 isn't poorly ranked; there are probably thousands of schools sitting the HSC. Anything in the top 400 of the state is still good. But all schools have different markers and different markers means different points of view, and different ideas as to the difference between and A and B range...

Is there anybody who thinks they have a BAD cohort this year?

Our school has the largest Maths Extension 2, Italian Extension and English Extension 2 classes in 10 years. However we don't have a French Extension class whereas there were 2 people doing it last year. There are 6 in our Italian Extension class; we're all in the top 7 of our continuers class.

    English trials?

Belonging - pretty inconsistent, not sharing the marks. Modules: A (Pride and Prejudice/Letters to Alice) - 20/20 B (Hamlet) - 14/20 C (Wag the Dog) - 12/20 (I had no idea what I was doing)

    Music 1 Independent Paper

Yours was probably independent then, because I did CSSA and the last question was unity and contrast in a remix of the jazz song "I Got Rhythm" by George Gershwin.

Look at your school rank and your assessment ranks and tell me you're going to get the required ATAR for law.

I meant that sometimes marking is a bit more lenient than in higher-ranked schools. And actually I don't go to a selective school, but my school is ranked 20th in the state.

    Kind of depressed about HSC

Haven't got all my marks back yet, but the ones I have got back are terrible. The only subjects I did well in were Italian Continuers and Italian Extension, and I think my Bio and Music ranks may have dropped.

I agree. But (without sounding arrogant) most people's schools here aren't in top 100.

    UAC is now open

You probably won't even get 90.

Why does english standard and advance scale the same according to ATAR calculator???

Re: Why does english standard and advance scale the same according to ATAR calculator Yeah, at our school there are so many delusional people who think they are good at English and so do Advanced. One girl who can't spell wants to be a journalist and therefore picked Advanced hahaha

    Desired uni course.

Aren't you the same person who thinks they're going to move from like bottom of the year to top 3 in bio? DELUSIONAL MUCH!!! And I'm doing combined Science/Arts. With Science I'm going to major in psychology, and Arts I'm going to major in either Italian studies or linguistics.

Scared about getting trial marks back?

Music Performance in a week, ear infection and losing my voice

:( devastating. I could probably get decent marks in this because my two songs that I'm doing are interesting vocally and I've practiced them a lot and they've both gone really well. I don't know if I'll be able to talk, let alone sing. Any advice?
