    diploma of software applications?

i believe they teach both vb.net and c++. the info night i went to was early oct. They have one coming in nov, and another in dec. You'll know right down to the wire whether or not you'll need to do the tafe course, depending on whether or not you make it into uni. I think the tafe...

Has anyone started studying for Tuesday??

yea it's only 1 option topic. What's easier though? In my trials, i was looking at the hardware option, and it looked easier then evolution. But i donno, could of just been the cssa paper that made it look easy.

    whinge :'( HELP!

yea, b35ty is right, don't worry to much about it now, focus on the exam(s) to come. If you look around, a lot of people didn't do all that well.

    purchasing a laptop

the exploding battery thing is so overrated. They were only in laptops bought in late 2005. There have been no other reports of "exploding" laptops. Though you could more so blame sony, since that lot was made by sony. There is another laptop thread, which has the same price range, so yea, it...

What options do I have in dropping subjects?

in the aspect of physics, math is something that you can pick up. I probably lost my 3rd rank because of my math, but i went from 3rd to 5th. Only because my math sucked. My understanding in theory kept me up. So, this should make it easier if you are considering physics. You can do quite well...

    95+ Uai

well looking on a general level, i would say that there is a high improbability. What i mean is, it would be very unlikely to happen. But being that your school is ranked top 20, and that it would mean that say your were average there, it would/could put you first in an average school. Also the...

    UAI PREDICTION PLEASE!!! -- important

indeed, whatever will be, will be. I'm hoping for 80+, though it's a real float for me. What i mean by that is that my school in ranked about 200th, my subjects (in sig) are quite broad, as in they don't mix with eachother to much (except for 2u and physics). My sister is meant to be of same...

Has anyone started studying for Tuesday??

just cause less than 2000 do it, doesn't mean it will rank you up any better. Good luck though to those with math sdd math, or math sdd on same day. Be a big challenge for you guys, managing the mindset that is, like to jump from math to software and then back to math would be a pain in the...

    UAI PREDICTION PLEASE!!! -- important

LOL, you asked on another thread didn't you? If i were you, i wouldn't worry, i reckon you could pull it off. If not, you'd get real close, and i think that there could be a little leway to get into the course. If you miss the uai, i would think that it would be by less than a uai point. So...

    UAI Prediction Brothas

for a uai, i'd say you'd get about 50 to 60 (probably low end of that), cause your english and math is like... down to much. But yea, to come first in eco, bomb out in bs, kinda looks like your eco class is either real dumb, or someone knew how to screw the system.

    Rejection From Uws Agriculture

maybe they didn't get enough enrolled into the class to actually start a class?

    quick calculus q

these questions don't really come up in the hsc themselves, but basically your working with diff and double diff. So you have displacement, basically, easiest way to do this (for both graphs, well work with veolicty as it's first diff) is to diff it, determine the stationary points, and then...

    UAI PREDICTION PLEASE!!! -- important

i'd say mid 60s, give or take. It's hard to say, physics and english would pull you up, but math and bio would bring you down.

    Maths Scaling

Find out what you want to do after school. I take it that you want to do university. Find out the course(s) you would like to do, and see what their "assumed knowledge" and "required knowledge" is. Most courses will say, English and Math, some of the science type courses require one of the...

culd some1 help me with these forumals

x and y are the x and y axis or otherwise known as horizontal and vertical component. Think of it as a grid, x and y co-ordinates, x is horizontal, meaning left to right (vice versa), and y is up and down. Understandable?

    diploma of software applications?

Hey Dan, I haven't done it, but I am considering that course as well depending on what happens with Uni. I've been to one of the information nights. Basically the overall course covers things like Visual Basic .NET, Java, DirectX (for the 3d stuff) and a few other things. I'm not much of a...

    Laptops

being an owner of a dell laptop, i can say i'm happy with it. I know i put in a bit more money then what is wanted (i put in 3g), but my laptop outdoes all of my comps at home (best comp at home is P4 3.06ghz with HT), and most of my mate's computers. The fact that it's got 2ghz core duo and...

Has anyone started studying for Tuesday??

yea, i'm with wm abusef on this. Math exam is my focus as well. Software is one of those exams which studying a week or a day, you could still do alright, if you know what your doing (as in if you have the mindset). Some of the hung chunk questions that involve things like algorithms, diagrams...

what raw marks you need for band 6

i would say the mark is gonna be a lot higher this year. The exam this year for physics was a lot easier (i found) than last year's paper. And i doubt i'm the only one who thinks that either. So i believe it's gonna be a lot tougher to get into band 6 then you think.
