Hi everyone! Thought I'd start a thread for all students/grads/people just starting out in the workforce, where we can discuss interview tips, how to get noticed by employers, dos and don'ts etc. I've worked in quite a few jobs since I was 14, from part time jobs in hospitality, call centre...

    Education at UNSW or MQ?

If I were to study education/arts (majoring in Chinese) at an undergrad level, which would you recommend? Also, I'd like to find out why Usyd has a longer BA/BEd degree than UNSW does. It seems like everyone thinks Usyd is the best place to go for teaching, but what makes it stand out...

Quick Q - Sulphate reducing bacteria

Okay so the bacteria reduces sulphate and eventually the iron becomes corroded. The products should be FeS and Fe(OH)2 right? I'm assuming that due to the lack of oxygen at great depths, the Fe(OH)2 will NOT oxidise to form Fe2O3.H2O (rust), is that correct? Conquering Chem supports this, but...

    Go to page...

I saw the 'Go to page __' function in the Vogue forums and thought it will be pretty useful to all Bored members if we had it too. I don't know if adding this function will be a big hassle, but this feature should be very handy. :) Could we have this please, admins? If it's not too much trouble?

    2001 Q

"How might different productions dramatise the struggle between chaos and order in King Lear?" It says 'might', so does that mean I have to talk about hypothetical productions, not existing ones? (ie. say, in a feminist production, so and so should be done to portray order/chaos, and in a...
