hey what r the answers for

Question 25bi when u had to use pythagoras to show that ABC is a right angled triangle.

Question 27ci when u had to explain y the angle was 110

Also with question 25ai is entertainmant $624 or $576.
- all you had to do was square sides then square root answer should match the hypotenuse

- you explain how the revolution is 360 degree's, and since the triangle is 250? (i don remember how many degrees in it was) then to find out its angle you do 360 minus it

- entertainment was $576

shit I didnt times 0.80 or 0.67 by 48, i'll probably only get 1 mark for it then
I think we've established that you didn't need to times them by anything, and I'm not sure where you got 48 from...?

Hmmm, so for the financial expectation question i wasn't sure, so i wrote:
The financial expectation is 80c, thus if 60 games were played she would win $48

is this wrong or what?

I brought out the question booklet, I can have it scanned and sent to emails I think. Give me a while and I'll have it done (proxybluesterATgmailDOTcom, let me know, don't spam the msg boards, also, if people can tell me how to make it a .pdf (on mac) I can make it a .pdf (It'll have a few markings in it though, sorry)

One thing though. Question 8. I got B) Because (calculator) Shift Tan 11°26' = 85.00...

But 97% RAW, I'm not complaining, just be nice if it went to 98% :)

I brought the question book out. Its in my room... What question are you after?

Q25 (c)

Robyn plays a game in which she randomly chooses one of these five cards. She plays the game 60 times, replacing the card after each game.

Win $4
Win $4
Win $4
Win Nothing $0
Lose $8

(i) How many times would she expect to win $4?
(ii) What is the financial expectation of the game?

Billsta05 - If you look at the beginning of the topic, all the answers are there, pretty much.

From Memory (i) Was 60 and (ii) .80c

jackcass2 - Yeah, from memory I got 9.8% which seems to be right.

To work it out, you had to minus the three cylinders from the brick. Without using a calculator, it seems you've used just minused 3 circles. You needed to times the area of the circles by 8 (The height of the cylinders/Length of the brick). Does that make sense?

Hm.. I have the paper scanned (not terrific quality, but u can see the questions well). the best I can do atm is have them as a .zip, and send them to emails or over msn. If anyone could put it up on a webspace, that would be awesome. The file is 4.2MB and I'm using a 56k modem, so a webspace would be fantastic. MSN is the same as the email above.

would my answer be wrong? cuz its just an estimate right? deres not approx answer?

and dumbest mistake i did was on question 27) B
i convert it to Km 43 x 60 x 1.852 and i didnt write the working out... u guys think they would at least give me 1 mark? lol

Jackcas2 - Hey! Thanks :) It'll come to you soon (56k modem sending email.. watch it go *rolls eyes*

rego2- Yeah, that should be fine. I wrote 90 and I'm pretty confident with it, because it asks for an estimate from the graph, which looks about 90 (half way between 80 and 100)

question 23 a) ii) Whit is the probability that first prize is NOT won by Khalid or Herman?

Ur answer is 69/100 which is just the Herman and Khalids added together.
I did the probability of Khalid not winning times by the probability of Herman not winning an my answer turned out to be 703/1000.

Can this be correct?? did anyone else get this answer??

khalid and herman add up = 31/100 to win
so 31-100 = 69/100 not going to win
