I'm handing out HTV's in Camden South, so make sure you're all there yo! Good to see Bleasdale at the top of the ballot paper in Macarthur. I wonder if the donkey votes will put him ahead (even though there's no chance he's gonna win it).

Here's my current voting plan:
5 FLETCHER, Kirk (LDP)
8 GIFFORD, Robert (CDP)
4 BARTLETT, Kerry (LP)
6 LIPTAK, Charles (FFP)
1 DEBUS, Bob (ALP)
7 SEGEDIN, Michael (CEC)
2 McCALLUM, Carmel (GRN)
3 WILLIAMS, Tim (IND)
Would've given the Democrats my first preference, but they're not running a candidate in Macquarie, more's the pity. I might have to think a bit more about who I want to put last, there are so many tempting choices.

I like the way that the LDP has decided to list itself on the ballot paper as 'LDP', hence minimising the possibility that anyone who isn't specifically familiar with them will vote for them.

Ahaha wtf The Late Show just attacked Rudd ('the likely next Prime Minister of Australia'), showing footage of him in parliament (looked like 98/99) apparently eating his ear wax (though not very convincingly) - ending with "finally we dont have the most embarrasing leader" (/stock footage of Bush doing something stupid).
Outrage!

Unfortunately, the Australian Democrats aren't on the ballot paper for my electorate, so there will be no "one vote, however much money" heading their way, so the 1 will be placed alongside the Labor candidate, 2 beside the person representing the Greens, 3 for the Liberal candidate and so on.

Senate (NSW)

NSW Senate Candidates

The GVT system may make life easier, but given that a GVT lodged by the Democrats will no doubt annoy me, I'll vote below the line, with 1-3 going to the Democrats and the next 17 or so being distributed between the ALP, the Greens and Senators Coonan and Payne (Liberal Senators, 1 and 3 on the Coalition ticket). From that point on it will be a case of pick a square and pick a number, but I will be sure to place groups like One Nation and the Christian Democrats at the bottom of my ballot sheet.

If the worst thing they can find is footage of him scratching his ear and then biting his nail, I don't think we have too much to worry about. The video was a pathetic attack on Rudd.

For the Senate: why is Pauline's group called 'Pauline'? Isn't it the United Australia Party?

Also, anyone with details on the following parties, feel free to inform your fellow voters:
-Hear Our Voice
-Conservatives for Climate and Environment
-Non-Custodial Parents Party (Equal Parenting)
-Australian Fishing and Lifestyle Party [Is this the result of an ideological schism within the Fishing Party or something?]
-Socialist Equality Party [Difference between this and the Socialist Alliance?]

Hear Our Voice - Hippy Movement as far as I can gather. http://www.tonimclennan.com/
My motivation for wanting to start a political party is because of my grave concern for our future under the current Government and because we need more women in politics.

I am greatly disturbed about the Howard Government’s IR laws, the treatment of asylum seekers, our involvement with US led attacks in Iraq and other places, and many Australians are still doing it tough despite our strong economy.

As a politician I want to ensure that whatever Government is in control at a federal level, they develop policy that will lessen the gap between the wealthy and the working poor, and I want to ensure that the weakest and most vulnerable among us are always considered when policy is made.

Conservatives for Climate and Environment - Also a hippy movement, slightly less hippy than hear our voice.

Non Custodial Parents - http://www.ncpp.xisle.info/
The Australian Government is taking more and more of an intrusive and unnecessary role in the making of decisions that affect our lives.

The Non-Custodial Parents Party (Equal Parenting) seeks to:

a) Minimise government interference in decisions that affect our lives; and

b) Maximise the initiative of individuals to make and be accountable for the decisions.
Fishing Party http://www.fishingparty.com.au/
The Australian Fishing & Lifestyle Party take a view that locking Australians out of their own parks should be a last resort, only to be used in extreme circumstances and only when other management options have failed. A mindset which would see bushfires devastate communities rather than allow control burn-offs and hazard reduction.

We offer an alternative to the more extreme views of the environmental lobby that see those who use and enjoy the ecology as a major threat
http://www.sep.org.au/ - Socialist Party. lol.
The SEP is standing in order to build a socialist movement in opposition to the entire political establishment—Liberal, Labor and Greens. Our aim is to unite working people in Australia and throughout the world to put an end to the social and economic system responsible for militarism and war, repression, social inequality and environmental disaster.

In 1902 something extraordinary happened in Australia – we became the first nation in the world to give women the vote, and the right to stand for election to parliament.
I always thought that New Zealand was the first nation in the world to allow women to vote?

Maybe not to stand for parliament? I have no idea. AFAIK women didn't have the right to vote in all states until 1907.

Meh, I dunno. That socialist party is pretty hardcore though.

The Fishing Party, I think, is there for the lulz.

Awards arn't workchoices??
The AFPC is a new body set-up under the Workplace Relations Amendment Act 2005.
