I personally found q16 harder this year

thoughts?

MC was quite straight forward, got stuck on Q9

Anyone else school started earlier? we had everyone there ready anyway

What was Q16 about?

One of them was a find the area of a function using integration

2nd one was finding the volume of the function 8ln (x-1)

Final one was a maxima/minima question I believe. Gave us a big cone, and a cylinder inside the cone. Asked us to find another expression for the cylinder, and also to find out that the volume of the cylinder would never exceed 4/9 of the volume of the cone no matter what parameters were used.

Anyways, I wanted to cry on the last one.

I differentiated and got x = 2R/3 then sub it in and youre good, gotta prove its a max too

Yea I did that too. I got up to proving it was a max then I fizzed out

Easiest HSC test ever, apart from a few questions like the area of the triangle it wasn't hard and they gave you almost all the answers.

Also btw, the question with the elevator thingy going down asked for how much the ride has to go down, not how much above the ground it was

Haha good test. Bet everyone on BOS got 100% on that test, nothing really was crazy apart from the last part which may have tripped people up.

I know I definitely lost marks on some, still hoping for 80+ raw, but might be a little less depending how many dumb mistakes I made. Forgot how to find n for the loan question lol I know (I couldn't get n by itself). Couldn't do the geometry question, the similar triangles one, and couldn't find max water falling out or whatever. So those the ones I lost marks, so I dunno hopefully 80+.
