you're in year 11 right? I believe it will be HSC 2010 that will be doing the new syllabus. It's most unlikely you will be learning the new syllabus as u will be doing 4 unit HSC next year, i think it will be next years year 11 (or year after???) that will introduced on the new syullabus.shaon0 said:When are BOS changing the 4unit Syllabus? I keep hearing 2009 and 2010.
Are they going to take out conics for Modellling of derivatives?

It seems as if they are 'dumbing' down the syllabus, or am I wrong? I'd rather still retain the older syllabus as I will be able to practice on the million or so Extension 2 papers that are available. And in 2010 they will replace another 4unit topic with Statistics.
Is this true?
they are not really dumbing down the course. Just making it more suitable for tertiary studies.bawd said:It seems as if they are 'dumbing' down the syllabus, or am I wrong? I know conics and circle geo suck, but think of it positively, u got like 4165484656186185 past papers to practise on + heaps of textbooks and other resources, unlike those on the new syllabus.
