Anyone out there who go 98+ without studying till march and doing absolutely nothing in yr 11 so that everything in the preliminary course is very vague?

they cant directly assess. prelim material, but it can be used as background knowledge that you should know, but its not terribly important if you dont

They really don't explicitly test you on it, more so, it's a basic grounding knowledge for you to do good in the other topics in yr 12.

They do, it's about 30% preliminary knowledge and 70% HSC course.

Look at the paper, there are actually some preliminary questions in it :p

are you kidding me? i know so many people who just cruised through assesments and crammed once or twice b4 1/2's and trials and got pretty nice marks. and they were only *topx1* of selective high

But there is some that are sole prelim knowledge on it's own.

Unlike subjects like Physics/Chesmitry where they don't ask anything on prliminary stuff.

for preliminary i didn't have time 2 study much since i had joined halfway , but still i worked hard , n managed to get the higher achievement award:)

for hsc i worked really hard from the beginning n i think it payed off!:D
well march is not 2 late to start studying for ur hsc , u still have like 6-7 mths before ur hsc ....so if u start working hard from march u can definitely get 98+ ...maybe even 100 :D :D

Not much really, walked into exams with 3 hours of study or none e.g. IPT.

So really didn't do all that well in yr 11

LOL, this sounds really farfetched but, I would love to get into Med or psychology (honours)

Since psychology needs 95, i'm pretty sure i can get that but Med needs 98 right?
