Funny thing, you know how they say that 75% of women don't get any symptom of that STD, one of my friends - her privacy protected - has been getting period-like cramps, very mild to mild, on and off during the day, in her lower abdomen. Apparently, abdominal pain is a symptom of chlamydia, but does anyone know what the pain is supposed to be like, before a visit to the doctor?!

AND, can you get it from someone who hasn't done anything before with anyone else? Like, it's the first time for both of you, in terms of ALL sexual contact?! I don't see how the STD can originate from two healthy people...

It's good that you're seeking advice from BOS before you go in to see the doctor.;)

Those symptoms could be from ANYTHING. It's never a good idea to self diagnose, just encourage her to go get it checked out.

go see a doctor... even if you're unsure to do a test.

If you leave it, it might progress into a PID or pelvic inflammatory disease which will damage your uterus innards and what not.

I do microbiology at uni, and is easily treatable if you get your feet into the door early if you suspect it.

Eww =s

Anyway, abdominal pain can be period related too.
Or first time sex can hurt.
Or.... heaps of other things.

But tell your friend to get to the doc asap. It's better to get stuff you're not sure of checked out rather than worrying about them and making yourself a nervous wreak.

Clamydia is basically just a cold, except for your privates.

hey pointdexter, whats the difference bewtween clamydia, gonnorea and a UTI? i dont mean the niggly slight differences, i mean in actual detection and treatment.

Cause UTi's are heaps easy to get outside of sex, and gonnorea you can get if you have unhygeinic lifestyle [right?]

Stomach cramps are way waaaay 2 general though, theres a shitload of innocous things it could be
