hey i was just wondering if its hard to get an atar of 70?
and btw, i want to get into this course at uni. the cut-off is 68.05. lets say i do get atar 70, and someone else gets 71. there is one spot availabe, would they choose the other person with higher atar over me?

Hard or easy is subjective. For me, over 70 will be easy.

Yes, logically, the person with 71 will get that spot.

usually if you have reached the atar cut off you should be accepted... however on the chance that the course is popular and you happen to be the lowest atar which applied for that course and your still above the cut off they should still accept you.. and next year they would raise their atar cut off...

just depends on supply and demand of a course

Depends, Most people on this forum ignore the fact that 2/3 of students get under 65 atar and assume everyone can achieve 85+.

Depends on many things.

is this for real?
No. Hahaha
It's a lot less than that.
Remember, we're compared to our year 7 cohort. So a bunch of ATARs are allocated on how shit some of them would've gone.

Not quite true. But come on, SOMEONE has to get the atars in the 50s and 60s etc.
I'm sure someone at my school will get *. Hahaha
My friend was saying "since I go to a catholic school I should be able to get an ATAR" and I laughed in his face and said "that doesn't f**king matter you stupid c**t! It matters how well you go in your exams, especially because you're coming last in mostly everything!"
Fuck I hate people.

With a response like that to a friend, I'd say that they probably hate you too.

Not exactly true. About 43% of people get under 65 ATAR. Whilst it is a rank, it gets less saturated when you get lower and lower.

No, he thinks we're like best friends. And I talk like that to everyone, it's the way I say it that makes it different from the usual swearing and shit.
