You need to put in aligned marks into the calculators anyway... you'll get a terrible atar with the raw marks - unless you're Namu. Haha.

Try some timed past papers and enter those marks. i got 90.5 when using my trial marks i had ~86.

I am:
25/63 in advanced english
10/23 in mathematics
7/17 in physics
1/13 in software design and development
2/14 in information processes and technology

I put my trial marks in a uai calc and it gave me a shocking 41.8! I know it doesn't take ranks into account but they arent going to help me much at all.

I am after a UAI of 70 which means i need at least 75 or more in each subject and that is really not gunna happen for maths so, am i completely screwed?
Dude your supposed to put your estimated marks of what you will get in the HSC into the UAI calculator and whats more is that these marks are scaled, they arent raw. YOU DONT PUT IN YOUR TRIAL MARKS OR ANY OTHER MARKS FROM ASSESSMENTS FOR THAT MATTER.you predict what you will get in your HSC and enter those.
If i entered my trial marks I would get in the 30's but im going for an ATAR of 86 which my teachers have told me ill get easily

yes....you are screwed...UNLUCKEH!!
nah but seriously you will do good, "A man who has done their best has done enough". 75+ ATAR is what im thinking, remember its a percentile which technically means your ranks are important :)
good luck with your exams..

its okay though, i entered my results in to SAM, and the bastard reckons i'm going to get bloody 79.

im so devastated. ugh.

SAM is a bit weird now... I put my RAW trial results and it said i would get
68
I put scaled in and it said 76.90

Then i used Matrix ATAR calc with scaled marks and it said 83

so meh.

you gotta do something about that 25 in maths. you won't actually get that for your HSC mark though. if thats your raw mark, they'll scale it. try multiplying that number by 0.4 and adding 44.

its (maybe) the formula our head teacher uses to scale our trial marks but i cant remember it exactly. they scale all our marks to reflect HSC scaling to give us a realistic outlook on our results.

its okay though, i entered my results in to SAM, and the bastard reckons i'm going to get bloody 79.

yer its drama and music, dw im the same i do art drama and pdhpe which apparently scale down

heyy i was wondering if someone could estimate my ATAR
rankings are as follows
advanced english 25/38 =68% trial
general maths 5/71 =80% trial
business 10/60 = 72% trial :(
geography 8/42 =84 trial
modern history 5/22 = 76% trial

school rank= around 400

im aiming for an 80 and im getting mixed responses from everyone, some are like NOO!!! nd some are yeh nd most are, i just wanted to et an opinion from everyone else??
