Regardless of your marks, know that there is still another 50% to go, you're only just half way now, and that what matters in your trial marks is your ranking.

your internal assessment is worth 50% only.
and yes, mark doesnt matter, your rank.
and 1/2 your UAI is your HSC EXAM mark.
Ace your HSC, and you can still get 90!

mm....yeh i can understand ranks are much more important...but it still doesnt make sense :S becaauuseee even if your ranks are really goood like you come first in everything (hypothetically) but your marks arent all that....like say in the 60's or mid 70's....even if your internal marks do get scaled up, it wont be that much will it? especially if you go to a public school when your school barely makes it into the top 200
lol looking too deep into it is confusing me even more - coz how does your rank matter the most in the end if its the actual assessment mark they use?

My ranks aren't all that great. However I'm in small classes (only seven people in my year do Chemistry for example).. How would that effect my mark?

yeah most probably, cos it depends on ur total internal assessment mark and on ur actual hsc mark, not just ur trials.

say if my total assessment mark is 85, and i get 80 for my hsc, will i get scale down?

Man...im in the same boat too...i wann get 88 for uai....but i f***ed up trials soo bad...failed physcis and 3unit and english ..chemistry ipt and 2u maths i passed but not wif flyin colors. chem i got like 60% and mahts and ipt 75% ..AM I SCREWED? :'worried:
