No, really. If killing the person is accidental, or if it is the only way to defend yourself, how can you blame the victim? You would prefer they lay down and die?

That's in general of course. Who knows what the details behind this shooting were.

i think the rule in The Queen v Dudley and Stephens says that killing someone just to save yourself if they present no harm to your safety does not amount to the defence of necessity...

and in this case, it's been confirmed that the deceased is "not connected to attempted terror attacks on the capital". though, people may accuse me of trying to apply 19th-century liberties in a fucked-up 21st-century. :)
