I could write an essay about the room and canberra etc but in summary,

Just wondering...how much stuff are you guys planning on bringing? like clothes..etc.. and how many pairs of shoes? anyone bringing a mini fridge?

I'm bringing most of my clothes which is 1 box and 1 mini suitcase
Then I have 1 box of bathroom items, and 2 boxes of kitchen utensils
and bed linen

but it may different, it just depends on what type of person you are

Bad idea. If you don't make friends in Oweek (13th-17th), you'll struggle all year. There'll be activities all day every day.

AHHHH I'm going to stay at the Lena Karmel lodge as well, may I ask is there a fridge in a single studio? I dont think there's an oven but do they provide us with a microwave? I cant find any info about the single studio,so am really eager to know about the condition of the single studio actually, am afraid my bed would smell like pasta if I cook in my room though :S

@Alexxxx Yeah I'm staying in a single studio, the rooms are all new and clean so that's good but some part of the buildings are still under construction
and there is a fridge inside

May I ask is there a microwave? and I am actually afraid that my bed would smell like pasta if I cook in my room, considering the space in a single studio,do you think its okay to cook in the room ?

yes there is a microwave in the room, and it also has a convection/grill function, so it's also a mini oven
cooking is fine in the room, there a windows anyway to air out any smell .. but I haven't used my gas top stove yet because it isn't workinh

I'm arriving on the 14th,see you there! btw, where did you buy your cutlery, bed linen and all? do they provide window curtains? Am actually an international student so I'm not bringing too many stuffs with me when I move in, but would really like to know where can I find cheap bedding and kitchen items

I came from Sydney so I bought my bed linen from a wholesaler store.. and a lot of cutlery I got from my mum, she just gave me her stuff..but there are plenty stores where you can buy them from in canberra centre
