I don't know if this is in the right thread or not, but I don't know else to go.

Okay, so I'm a yr10 graduate, going to SMSHS next year. What I want to know is, what's it like there?? People have told me that it's a kind of school where you have heaps of freedom and independence. But the people who have told me this either have never gone there before or have graduated from there years ago. I just want to get as much information about the school as I can.

Have I made the right choice in deciding to go there to finish high school?

st marys is selective in that 1000 students apply and only 400 get admitted.

St marys is a gud choice for last two years of school...that is if you are motivated cause its easy to fall behind with the freedom you get

it is the greatest skool ever. i graduated this year and it has been the best 2 years of my life. i have made heaps of friends and the teachers are always there to help you when you need it. trust me. you will NOT regret going to SMSHS.

I applied there.
Went to the St Marys Senior High School Open Day not long ago.

I was really impressed.
I really enjoyed speaking to the Legal Studies teacher, as she seems really passionate. The teachers look very approachable.

I really hope I get accepted.
OH! And "Princess Mononoke" was playing in the Japanese room! I was so happy to see a Studio Ghibli anime being played at a school

Quite far from where I live, though.
- A bus to get to the station
- Train to Blacktown
- Train to St Marys

That could be my morning routine, if I get accepted.
Looks like a great school.

Congratulations guys. This is a great school. It's like in the top 150, which is totally awesome.
The teachers there are really passionate and there's more freedom there than you would find in any other school. I don't go there, but I've heard heaps of good things about the school.

I was about to apply but then I got offered maths extension 2 and history extension at my own school.
