Who here has ever thought of joining the ADF in any form whatsoever, and if u have at what level, what corp, what job, and what arm of the defence force (Army, Airforce, Navy, etc)
Currently there is no full-time job for what im studying at uni, there is only a reserves job (Financial Officer)

I'm in the Army Reserves as a Combat Engineer as of January 2004. And I'm pretty sure I'm about to get a medical discharge because of my back.

Air Force Intelligence is bloody hard to get into - they only take a VERY small number each year, it's almost non existant if you plan on going through ADFA.

Looked at joining a while ago. Still on the backburner, I might join once I finish my nursing degree and work for a while.

I applied for the ADFA education award last year, everything was going smooth - then they expected me to spend $300+ for an eye test! I prompted dropped out cos i'm cheap.

Recently I've thought of becoming an Airforce pilot. Anyone in Aviation right now?

I hear that the application process to become a pilot is quite gruelling

$300?! I only had to fork out $80 for my opthalmology test ($61 claimed back from Medicare).

Isn't medic under General Entry?
It was 150ish per session, i had to go for 2 sessions.

They told me later that most of it was covered by medicare.

think of it this way.

would you just let anyone play with multi-million, and sometimes billion dollars worth of equipment?

Just get with Penny Taylor. She's sponsored by the ADF so she will get you any job there.

I was looking into applying as a Navy Intelligence Officer. Does anybody know if it is a difficult position to fill? And according to the recruiting website, it's only offered in the reserve.
