how important is it to go to the faculty welcome things? because i just realised mine (education/social work) is at noon thursday :| ...but i'm thinking if i dont really have to go, i wont. coz i'm more interested in meeting you guys lol.

Don't quote me as my memory is somewhat lagging but i'm pretty sure they were rather pointless. Most of the stuff they will have to say you will soon learn from your lectures and various other sources anyway.

even if you were able to come to bos scav hunt, i don't think you would have, because you'll be too pissed to do anything. menzies is your common room (and i don't even go to women's and i know that ). college o-week is one large festival of drunkeness, random hook-ups, and STI's !!!!! don't have sex because you will get chlamydia and die.

Um... I'd just like to point out that like the quiet bookworm nerd that I am, I'm not intending to get pissed, mainly because I can't see the point. Before everyone starts laughing at that statement, I'll say this: I hate carbonated drinks (cutting out most alcohol), don't like the taste of wine, beer etc, and um... anyway getting pissed is very very low on my list of priorities. In fact it's not there at all. And as for the sex bit? Thanks, but no thanks.

Sorry if that sounds a bit annoyed, just trying to - oh I don't know. And yes, I would have come to the scav hunt. Maybe next year. Thanks for the Menzies tip! The Womens College handbook is full of stuff that looks interesting but in fact has no real use.
