Well, for one, its more of a sport than bowling. People actually walk/run. Plus there is a team who have to work with each other. Then you have the brooms. I bags being the guy who rolls the vacuum cleaner thingy.

ok, i just looked up encarta:

Curling, winter sport in which players slide heavy granite stones down a sheet of ice at a circular target area. As the stone slides, teammates can sweep the ice in its path with brooms or brushes. This warms the ice a little, reducing friction and causing the stone to slide farther and straighter. Curling appears to be a simple game, but to master it players must learn complex strategies.

it also says sweden won last years mens curling World Champs

u dont need to be pro to go to the olympics- just really passionate about your sport. (and have lots of talent.)

remember boxing is only limited to amateurs- pros cant compete

besides, tenpin isnt at the olympics- it was at the 1998 kuala lumpar c'mwth games, but wont be at next years in melb

C4 considers 'midget curling' for breakfast
Thursday, August 11 2005, 13:31 BST -- by Neil Wilkes

Rocks will be replaced by midgets on trays for the warped version of traditional Scottish sport curling.

Midget curling- lets make it the new national sport of australia
