Hi guys,

Does anyone know if the textbook is on the CD given with the textbook? If so could someone send this to me?

Reason being, I am looking to write solutions for the 3U Cambridge books but I don't have the Year 11 book (I have the Year 12 one) and I don't really wanna spend $70 and buy a new Year 11 Cambridge.

Please lemme know :)

I've already started on solutions for the Year 11 Book. Maybe I could do year 11 and you year 12? Makes it easier.

lol, easier for you Yes :p

I dunno how I'm going to get the binomials chapter done by myself though, I kinda suck at that topic. I think I'll start with Series and Integration lol.

I'm using Latex. I've done diagrams and tables before, so it won't be any trouble. If you need any help doing them in Latex, just message me.

What program do you use for graphs (eg. curve sketching) and say 3D trig?
Well, I have a grapher utility (I'm on mac) which I use to plot the functions, then save them as an image, but latex actually integrates quite nicely with an open source program called gnuplot. It takes a little getting used to, but it does what you need, and it's free!.

3D trig would involve creating the graphics in latex. The best latex guide I've found is "The Not So Short Introduction to Latex2e", which covers almost anything you could think of, including graphics. What program are you using to compile the code?

TeXnic centre. I had a play around with it ages ago but I didn't like it very much. I'll play around with it a bit more before I start writing. I'll probably have it layed out in a 2 column approach to save paper if it is printed.

Ok. Does it give you a choice of what packages to use etc.? You will definitely need amssymb and amsmath.

Yeah I can install packages. I've already installed like polynom (for automatic long division of polynomials) and I think it amsmath was already installed.

What does amssymb do?

There's a larger choice of maths symbols.

Are you doing the extesion Qs as well?
Yeah

But, I don't think I'll be using LateX though... it seems to hard to express myself. I'll just write it out neating and scan them when I'm done.
